This wildlife park is my motivation to bring my GPA up high enough to intern here! And hopefully, if I get to intern here, the experience and everything I will learn will the my motivation to continue my studies and start a career in animal welfare one day! And hopefully become a veterinarian! You guys do an amazing job Out of Africa!
I get that they’re doing it for educational purposes and as a form for exercise for the tigers but I feel like with any form of entertainment ( because let’s be real that’s what it would be for a paying audience member) there will be a certain pressure for the keepers to deliver a ‘show’ . What happens if they bring the tigers out and they don’t want to play or just want to paddle around quietly for a couple of minutes and head back? It says on their website that they only bring in the tigers that they feel are up for it on that day, so to speak, but I saw a tiktok video posted by one of the keepers that worked there and she literally woke a tiger up from sleeping and said repeatedly “c’mon let’s get ready for the show” “C’mon gotta wake up it’s show time” ???
I wish all forms of entertainment that involve animal performance stopped for good and creatures like that would end up living with the people only as exception and not as a result of capture. Because let’s be honest no matter how loving those handlers are that is still abuse
There are more important things to worry about than this show. Get a life. And yes, they have tigers that literally walk out to the pool and walk right back to their cage. At least these tigers aren't in a little bitty cage with no real fun life 99% of ALL other tigers in zoos. You are idiots.
