@@MonteChristo2024 You are right. It's boring and annoying and it's not over yet. Heartstopper season 3 arrives in October. Comparisons will come from all sides
Comparing _Young Royals_ to _Heartstopper_ in their acting and stories: For me, _Young Royals_ is like a full steak dinner while _Heartstopper_ is like being at a fair and eating cotton candy --- just hot air that's fun to bite into, but many times too sweet [for reality].
Sort of but I see it this way: Heartstopper isn’t cotton candy but a meal of basic foods for those who need something simpler because they are just getting into food. They need to test the waters and find what they like. There is nothing too complex or spicy. Nothing hard to swallow because they need to be eased in. Because one is meant for a younger audience to introduce them to LGBT stories that are mature enough for them. They need to see characters acting more innocent to understand that LGBT love is no more overtly sexual than straight cis love, an unfortunate stereotype. Young Royals is for an audience that can handle the more adult story lines, and understand that sex and love is a complex topic and not a perversion.
@@NoFirstNoLastName _Not really._ *In both shows, the PRIMARY students' ages were 15 and 16.* What I think you most probably meant [if you're being totally honest], was that _Heartstopper_ was written and acted as if it were a PG to even a G rated show which in reality does not exist. _Young Royals_ was written and acted [for the most part] as a natural and "normal" PG13 to R rated to better reflect teenage reality. _I'm trying to not be raw in my assessment of both._ But the reality is, without the "R to NC-17 rating," you can't seriously offer any gay-related stories. The very fact of being either straight, bi or gay and being honest about it, is you have to get into the below-the-belt facts and reasonable images [with obvious limitations]. Just remember, 95% of all heterosexual stories on TV and movies are more R and NC17 that they simply won't do with gay stories because of corporate and religious pressures.
