it shows you there not much diffrent than humanity, vulcans and humans are more alike than you think, vulcans can just control themselfs more than human, we understand each othere in our own ways, but vulcans if they were real and you actually paid attention to them there more like us than you think just there ways are diffrent than ours, eg, why did spokes fathere marry a human when he was chosen to mary a vulcan princess at birth, if vulcans are incapable of love then spoke parents would never have goten married.
When TOS debuted, everyone hated it. When TNG debuted, it was hated. Same with DS9 and VOY. Most Trek shows suck in their first two seasons. TOS was cancelled on its third season so nobody knew how much better it would become but the subsequent movies have shown us. TNG hit it's stride in Season Three and now TNG is considered classic Trek by many. I grew up on TNG. The problem is that we all want to see the old formula of Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. Two of those actors are now dead. We want new Trek but we want the old formula which has run it's course. If we want the franchise to survive, it has to evolve, go places we never thought possible, even rewrite history. Real life history is rewritten every time a new piece of it is discovered. Imagine my shock when they discovered that the Northern - the so-called Vikings - had interbred with the Middle Easterners of the time. There is proof of Northmen and Muslims living together. They found Muslim jewellery in Northman graves. So if ST has to survive as a franchise, we can treat it as such - new histories discovered every once in a while. Otherwise the franchise will end. "TO BOLDLY GO WHERE NO-ONE HAS GONE BEFORE". Remember? DISCOVERY isn't erasing TOS, it's honoring it. Nowadays we analyze everything and we want answers. DISCOVERY, in my opinion, is tightening the plotholes from TOS, and thee were many. It's also using newly discovered "histories" to tighten up those plotholes.
@@incognitoergocoom7837 Okay but...that's a word salad that has no bearing on the fact that this actually truly does suck. It doesn't fit in as far as consistency or feel for that matter with any of the previous shows. It does go nicely with the latest movies, however.
@@randomcurrypuff6237 Oooohh....Haven't seen them to be honest. But I've heard they are pretty spot on. Like Janeway and Cisco aren't just SJW charactachures of "strong empowering Mary Sue types (like michael Burnam or Ray)". I know that Cisco and Jway, those two are ACTUAL starship captains. That is they embody and encapsulate what it means to hold that rank in Star fleet. They earned it by having good character..... Do you know what i mean? But I didn't add it to my list just because I haven't seen it...but I'm sure that Janeway and Cisco are canonical, just because they are admirable characters that aren't just used as propaganda.
@@spiritualityjuice I would say Saru is a pretty good captain, but people don't relate to him because he's not human. Someone I actually find relatable is Tilly. Some people find her annoying but I don't. Her awkwardness is literally why I like her. She's not perfect, far from it, but she's trying to be. That's very human.
@@cobleymj thanks. I haven’t had time for DS9 or Voyager, but I’ve seen a few. They are weaker than the Original series and TNG. But still technically “good trek.”
Mini spock is adorable
@Kylen Nelson Definitely, been using Flixzone} for since december myself =)
I just wanna hug Spock when he cries.
This scene was the most heartbreaking. I have ever scene.
1:56 the child actor is amazing. In this scene seems that Michael is with her son with Spock XDD
Acting it out as adults and children ...very touching ..xxx

This scene made me sad😢
Amazing how young Spock resembles Young Sheldon in speech haha
Both spock and burnham had arrested development ....this helped them heal , reconcile , move on and grow up .
“Like a moon, somewhere” look the rest of the scene was fine. They could’ve just left out that one part
01:28 our family, our home
This hurts
so Discovery takes place before Picard... didn't know that. :/
…yes, spock is over 100 years old when picard served on the enterprise-d

bad make up art!!
This looks like it not only sucks but is also inconsistent with TOS.

@@Locktwiste72 sir you miss the point. There's no canon consistency here

There are only two real Trek does: OG and TNG
Not even DS9 and Voyager?
