I heard imaginary places when I was a young boy playing Tony Hawk on playstation but didn't hear much more from Busdriver after that. A couple years ago, a guy was opening up for Aesop Rock at Nokia and playing the entire set live, by himself. The mix was hot, the vocals were provoking and it was all the cause of one sweaty dude face stuffed in his mic, fingers dancing all around his boards. to put it simply, I was mesmerised. Unfortunately for the audience, they were too busy clambering for a drink to notice. My Homie was like "you know who that is?! that's Busdriver!", and instantly I was taken back. Since that night I've been on his art. He is still one of the most underrated cats in hip hop and a stand-out showman, 20 years strong.
This is one of my favorite Driver tracks for the simple fact that this shows Regan chooses to make his own music. He could be mainstream, but he gets to experiment some of the most interesting flows and sounds, not many in the game like him.
