As a Chelsea fan the thing that worries me is the name. I hope they keep it as Stamford Bridge not make it some stupid advertising name like Yokohama stadium or some bollocks
Personally, I think we say goodbye to the name Stamford Bridge when its gets knocked down - Sam
TehBCB3AST Welcome to the Commercial Era of Football 😑
Thats the one big concern I have as well. Though I find solace in the chelsea pitch owners who own the name Chelsea, and if Chelsea was to move out of Stamford Bridge then the club can not use the name anymore. I wonder if this is why we're building on the current stadium and not changing location, and if we change name then does that mean that the club can not use the name anymore? I really hope thats the case.
The name will change. Past experience from previously built stadiums that i know of.
Arsenal = Emirates
Man City = Etihad
Stoke = bet365
Bayern = Allianz
There's numerous example from other sport stadiums as well.
in townsville australia the stadium is called 1300smiles stadium which is a way worse name than any of those
This channel is very underrated
Ryon Fagon it's not underrated then mate. it's just not good
Lies again? Secret Admirer Ticket Master
amazing too see the growth on this great channel. I swear only recently they were at 6k
We appreciate all the support we are getting - Sam
Knowsley mate
Shows only the quality this channel has.
Nice work lads, these videos are awesome. You think you could do a video on why Brazilian footballers peak so early in their careers i.e. Ronaldinho, Kaka, Adriano etc. Or perhaps the reduction of English playing players in the Premier League from 92/93 until now.
Anyway, keep up the good work!
Appreciate the comment James - Sam
uMAXit Football Have you guys done a video on the money acquired by clubs going from the Championship to the Prem? Would be great if you guys could break it down how the cash is made up (or even say if the figures mentioned a exaggerated - i.e. When they say that the play off final is the £200million game etc)
Keep up the excellent work guys.
Ps I thought I was subscribed, turns out I wasn't until today. My apologies.
I like how the presenter doesn't speak loudly at the start of the video and throughout compared to most youtube videos. Gets straight to the point and demonstrates everything precisely. Thumbs up for me!
Thanks Cam, that's our aim!
- Joe
Is it much to ask you to do a video on AC Milan? Maybe covering the Berlusconi Era, and the Rise and Fall of Ac Milan,or maybe talk about the future of AC Milan? Thx for being so entertaining :)
Optimus. Its on the list for 2 reasons. 1, it's a great idea, and 2 you have an amazing name - Sam
Optimus You should do one about Inter Milan
As a Chelsea fan I am excited but also sad to leave our 'home' I hope we keep our name stamford bridge
I hope you just get on and build it. It looks stunning and as its on the same site as the current stadium it can easily retain the name of Stamford Bridge. But I can guarantee you that whatever the Stamford Bridge replacement looks like if it's built, will be better than the stadium my team moved into. I'm a West Ham fan and our owners sold our soul to move us into the London Stadium. It's a pretty stadium but it's just not for football.
It will always be Stamford bridge
How’s the new stadium treating you 😭👎🏾
@@bigtorbigtor12 no need. I like the tradition of stamford bridge is keeping
@@pipebombhs1412 yea but we need more capacity!
Arsenal have renamed their stadium to Bayern Munich Arena.
Well now it just isn't arsenal, the whole of London is their ground
When I see projects like this and Abra's passion, I am so proud to be a chelsea fan
it is just emotional that Abra is no more your owner
Roman Abramovich is hands down one of the best and most involved owners ever!
TrueBlue26 one of the most passionate owner, can't understand the hatred on him
Singh Vring Jasdeep it's cause he sacks his managers that's why he gets hate
Singh Vring Jasdeep his money is slightly dodgey
"His money is slightly dodgy". That's just a makeshift story people made and already proven wrong already.
He is an oligarch first and become a russian governor later, so it's obvious that he is really rich.
TrueBlue26 Coming from an Arsenal fan I don't care where his money came from but the guy at least wants to see his club win and invests in to the economy as well as abiding by the law. Who could have a problem if the guy is involved with the club it's not like Kroenke gives a fuck and he's richer than Abramović
Wow looks like a cool project I wonder if they have started yet
The project was put on hold indefinitely a few years ago, will be interesting to see if the new ownership revisits these plans. Would be a fantastic stadium.
@@secla_SCIt was part of the deal when Boehly took over from Abramovich.
I get the feeling that "60,000 capacity" will magically turn into 62,000 once the Tottenham stadium is complete so they can say they have a bigger stadium than Tottenham and Arsenal
I think that is obvious. It's a massive 4 year project and clearly all the estimation is nothing more than a rough estimation.
I'm not even surprised if it's gonna break 65k capacity but it's also possible that it might have less capacity than expected.
It's not even started so anything change.
CoysKing
I assume they will have to buy some fans to fill it. LOL
CoysKing
Best supported club in Britain post WW2, don't see many walking away son.
Couple of thousand seats won't make a difference mate. Biggest reason for new stadium is larger allocation of cooperate seats
Everton were expecting 60,000 at the Bramley Moore Dock. When the architect was called in it was clear a much reduced capacity can only be accommodated, as the dock is in a World Heritage Site. Be prepared for surprises.
This channel is the best sports related thing I've seen in years. In ten minutes I get more clarity then ten hours of itv/bbc. These videos should have millions of views. Thank you so much.
Can you do a video on the rise and fall of Wolfsburg
rise and fall ? when did they even rise lol
Ajinkya Jumbad last team other than Dortmund and Bayern to win the league
they won the league in 2009 or smt like that. But thats it. Rise and fall of kaiserslautern would be more fun. Won the league in their first season after promotion
Peter Due or Hamburg
Peter Due they had some great gems in that team... Andrea barzagli, grafite and edin dzeko
As a Chelsea fan, I really miss Abra and still waiting for the Stadium upgrade
Clubs looking to expand in future can take a leaf off this idea. The community that's depending on the football fans will not be effected in few years. The decades old pubs will have lot to look up to, owners will have lots of stories and kids of near by shops owners will see Chelsea as a legacy club which has been part of its family. I think it's a great move on part of Roman Abramovich.
They are called the pensioners for a reason. The club play football for a cause....
well dne chelsea.
.not only for a new stadium.....but thinking of other businesses while the stadium is in development.
I love how Abramovic was going to sell Stamford bridge’s land for 1 billion pounds but He fell in love with the sport and club and here we are - the pride of London, the only team to win a premier league, and a champions league this decade in London
Abramovich does not own the land; it is owned by the Chelsea Pitchowners Trust (which has about 12,000 equal shares).
R.A was never going to sell the land. (see Francis comment on why) He consulted with CPO at an AGM because he has to when discussing redevelopment plans etc. But was never about flogging it off. Thats a press thing. Forget the Battersea thing. That was a red herring.
Well that dream burst
I'm spewing. Do you reckon it will still be done or no chance?
Not since COVID
I hope it never happens , long live the bridge
@@leocallaghan6336 tru. The bridge has a diff trdition to it no need of fancy if roma n dont want
I really like the stadium video. I would like to see more about the new Tottenham stadium, the Stanley Park situation, and the new stadiums in Spain.
meeks102 the Stanley park story would be interesting- I think there is already a on the Gillette- Hicks era and the problems that occurred though
Congratulations guys. You continue to pump out amazing material on so many subjects. I've learned so much already thanks to you guys. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for your kind words - Danny
how do you not reach 100 thousand subs already? also if you could do a video about Brazil 1970 team.
It's coming Felix. It's coming - Sam
That's what she said.
This is class from chelsea caring about their community so much. doubt any other club in england would go to such lengths. truly the best club in england.
Sophie Matthews literally every club cares for their community in a very similar capacity, Chelsea just have better resources to do that than most.
Sophie Matthews I'm a Newcastle fan but got to admit, the community work that Sunderland do is class
Chelsea especially got a good long standing relationship with it's surrounding.
I doubt any other club care about local business when they go somewhere, Why would they be anyway?
Difference is, Chelsea are moving and then coming back. If they were going permanently, they wouldn't give a shit, of course they're going to try to keep stakeholders happy...
Nathan Edwards But they are not stakeholder, If I were to put it into some cruel word, they are just a local business that steal a living from Chelsea's matchday crowd.
So I don't see any reason why they need to care about them except to keep a good relationship between both parties out of kindness.
This didn’t turn out
Why not Twickenham? It's an amazing stadium!
The folks at Twickenham don't want us there so it's most likely not going to happen. Would have been perfect though.
ManUtdFan 101 It sucks because I'm a Chelsea fan from Twickenham. Tbh though the area around the stadium wouldn't be the best for football. It's all housing. The rugby mainly works because rugby fans are different and don't cause trouble or piss anywhere
Yanni Oh ok. Thanks for the reply. That pretty much sums it up.
The area is 100% Chelsea fans so it wouldl have been great, but the RFU are being really snotty about it and don't want football being played there. The England Rugby team plays there barely a dozen times a year, I don't see what their problem is.
It's more about commonuity problem. They don't want any crowd trouble on a matchday.
We stopped building the stadium but won the UCL instead
Is it just me or does 60.000 sound a bit low for Chelsea FC? I kinda wanted to push 70.000 - 75.000. I do understand there might not be enough space for that on the current ground.
This aged well
It would be awesome if you could do a video on BVB
It's on the list! - Sam
uMAXit Football awesome, thanks
Jarryd Mahabir Black Veil Brides?
This wasn't really a video - if laid out as text & pictures, I could have read it in 30 seconds!
We'll send you the picture book - Danny
Maybe it’s just me but the new stadium looks hideous....The current Stamford Bridge has character, the new stadium looks like a termite mound......
Well, this never happened
Well, i don't really know much about Chelsea. However, where did you get a sharpie with that many colors?????????
NSX 55 bet you're fun at parties
I am in love with the drawing series you do on the channel. You have some pretty amazing artists on your staff. Is there any thought of selling your completed story board? I bet a few people would be more than happy to shell out a few quid for a copy of your work. Cheers
Boy how times have changed regarding this
Love how much you guys are uploading these days! Appreciate it and keep up the great work!:)
Thanks Jacob. We appreciate your love!

Looking at this now, it seems so much better to demolish the existing stadium and build a new one on the same land.. I actually really wish other clubs thought of this.
The advantage with building in a new location is being able to play on the old location until the new one is build. The decision of CFC building on the same ground comes with the question of where to play.
VengeanceSeeker well Spurs are doing that
Well the club can't afford to leave "Stamford Bridge" because not like the others, Chelsea Football Club play for the "Stadium". I mean they own the name of the club thus if they leave the said stadium, they need to also change their name. SO I think that's one of the reason they staying at the same location.....
You mean like what Tottenham are doing!
Just demolish it and move in with the spammers
How's this new stadium going?!
not good mate
Well, we just added another trophy to the cabinet in our old stadium while the cabinets of teams like Tottenham are catching dust.
It should be 70,000 - 80,000...and I really do hope they maintain the same name Stamford Bridge
As a Chelsea die-hard i enjoyed this video much! Thank you.
Hope they keep the name Stamford Bridge and install a Cech - Drogba - Terry Lampard statue
Cheers Ricky - Sam
Would it be too much to ask for similar videos on other clubs building new stadiums (i.e. Atletico, Roma, Tottenham)?
It wouldn't at all Karl, it's been noted - Sam
Karl Goldthorpe too right. The Spurs story is getting epic- 60k waiting list, the riots, Archway, the NFL, the Wembley effect....
What happened???
You have created awesome content, and are one of my favorite channels, so thank you. I was thinking that it would be interesting to see you guys make a video about the Makelele Role.
I would like to see video on the Anfield Stadium redevelopment project.
Best football related channel!
SYNQUILITY no arsenal fan TV 😁😀
Ryon Fagon - Yeah, entertainment every week 😂
By far one of the greatest RUclips Channels I have stumbled upon. Loving all the in depth reviews and stories very much. If I may suggest one - It is a team who has been in the Premier League more times than Liverpool have one the EPL and have the record for the most goals conceded in a season (1993/94) at 100... the one and only: Swindon Town!
Cheers Peter, glad you're enjoying the channel! - Sam
This will improve revenue and grow the club. But what I am really worried about is that if we never win another title in the stadium again like the effect the Emirates had on Arsenal.
On the other hand, it could have the completely opposite effect and we could do a Juventus, who are really hard to beat at home.
I think the best option may be to build a stadium in eel brook common. I would then build a park and improve the retail and green space around Fulham Broadway. Eel brook common is just a stones throw away from stamford bridge, I dont think the CPO would mind moving there. Im pretty sure its a large enough site to build a 60,000 seater stadium and also has multiple entrances, its not hemmed in like Stamford Bridge. I think this may be the most cost effective solution.
I don't care how much seating capacity we get, Stamford Bridge will always be home, not some weird sponsor name like Eithad, Emirates, Allianz.
Great comment. Yes, it will always be our home
You guys should be doing pre match and post match Talkshows. Really one of my TOP 5 channels.
TOP 1 COMMENT - Danny
I introduced one of my friend to this channel who is also a football fan & he is like why didn't I discovered this channel before
Nice work Abhishek! - Sam
The Tevez/ Mascherano affair could be a good addition to your Football Laws playlist?
Mind reader Joe Vaughan. Keep an eye out Friday, my friend.
- Joe
uMAXit Football Love it. Those were the days; when clubs bought players they weren't allowed to sign, with money they didn't actually have.
for all of this trouble they're going to you'd think it'd be a bit bigger than 60,000 seats, I understand that adding 50% more seats is a massive increase but compared to the other top stadiums it isn't exactly there
Why can't football stadiums just look like football stadiums? Arsenal and Wembley just look like a shopping centres, West Ham's isn't meant for football in any way and now Stamford Bridge is going to look like something the football world has never seen. I love Stamford Bridge as it is. The best football stadiums are the old grounds like villa park, Turf Moor, Goodison park, St James' Park, Stamford Bridge. Places with character. The thing about this video that worries me is the bit when the narrator says we're going to build "lower and wider". I really hope that doesn't mean we're going to be as far away from the pitch as at the Emirates or Wembley behind the goals. And I swear to god if we get some sponsors name for the ground it will be the worst thing that has happened to this football club.
Joseph Cole no we wont. They mean deeper. The field will be close to the fans for louder experience.
I love it as it is but in this modern world, if you're going to try to facilitate that many people and in doing so, spend hundreds of millions then you really need some extra revenue sources, and the best way to do that is to accommodate not only the match day fans but also people who will want to visit for reasons other than football.
Anfield should be on that list too. Great old fashioned stadium that is just getting rebuilt bigger but kept to the 4 separate stands which is what a football ground should look like
Joseph Cole
The name of the stadium will be
Roman Abromivic Stadium
Could you do some sort of video on Middlesbrough? Maybe about Steve Gibson?
It's wierd because my dad grew up with the old bridge to see it demolished and rebuilt and now I've grown up with the current and will see it demolished and rebuilt and tbh the inside looks good but I hope they keep the stand names and the name of the stadium itself but the issue for me is that it looks too Arena like, one of the reasons we've got one of the best atmospheres in the league is because of the enclosed squared of style of the stadium, even the outside looks like one of those European arenas. I'm also not a big fan of us losing the four stands that but I suppose that's what it was like at the old bridge anyway, nonetheless a new stadium would be brilliant in terms of more people being able to go to games
Half of my family support Chelsea and they all love the current Stamford bridge. I’ve been on many away days and it’s a great stadium, love the traditional style of it and the visibility is great.
I’d say they should just expand it if they can, I think the Matthew Harding end could be expanded and the shed End which are the 2 chelsea fans seem to love
Adam looking at you're profile picture I'm guessing you're a Liverpool fan, if so congratulations on winning the league
LEWIS SOUSTER
I am, thanks for beating city and making them have to give us a guard of honour at the etihad
This is probably the best football channel on youtube.
Thank you!
It looks phenomenal, and they're going about it the right way. I hope I get the chance to go to Stamford Bridge before it's demolished though.
i love your channel, alot great staff bro keep em coming
Is the new stadium still going to take place??
No
Nike deal funds the entire project
Love your work guys. Combining a visual medium with bite-sized football statistics is genius. I take so much out of these videos and look forward to each one. Keep up the work, it's awesome!
A friend of mine posed this question the other day, may be an idea for a video:
With just four titles in the Champions League era (United '99, Liverpool '05, United '08 and Chelsea in '12), are English clubs cut out for the Champions League?
Answering that question in a video may be a bit opinion heavy, which we stray from here. But we could look at the numbers to determine how each country fares. Great idea - Danny
Great videos, great channel! Would love to see a video on the Socceroo's qualification for the 2006 world cup and their run in it!
Didn't realise Dan Levene was working with you's! Ay Dan, if you're reading this I'm going to Southampton Solent this autumn to get my Bachelors in Sports Journalism so maybe one day we'll cross paths ;)
Great video as usual, guys. Keep it up!!
On a recent Chelsea tour it was mentioned that they will be playing at Wembley for definate
Amazing Channel! Keep up the good work.
Correction: the reason for digging down is that there is not enough space to extend outwards and upwards. Nothing to do with the view from the other side of London. Simple as that. (What about the Empress State Building, Earls Court, which is 30 floors / 300 ft?)
Plus, many large sports stadiums are dug below ground level - Los Angeles Colosium (1932), Emirates, Amex, London Olympic Stadium, Ibrox, Hampden, Celtic Park ...
Maybe a video about how Sevilla have risen to be a great team and how they managed to beat much richer Prem clubs in the europa league and CL
Hands down the Best football channel
Appreciated! - Sam
such great videos and really informative good job😊.
Would love a similar video on the current development of White Hart Lane, and why Spurs seem to struggle at Wembley (does the pitch size argument hold merit?)
Your comments about Spurs move isn't quite right. Arsenal did move a short distance that meant that they could fully build the new stadium. Spurs, like Chelsea, are building on top of their existing stadium. Although the increased size means that some work can start early it does require Spurs, like Chelsea, to move out of their existing stadium and play somewhere else (which was the main point you were trying to say). Picky I know, but it is a shame to let down an very good video with basic errors.
I want to know the application that they use
that is bonkers about the law regarding St Pauls, I'm a Chelsea fan and I had no idea that was the case insane so thanks for this vid guys. Also are we still allowed to say it is the same stadium dating back to 1876 and call it Stamford Bridge or is that a bit like Trigger claiming he still has the same brush even though the handle and head have changed several times?
With all the buzz surrounding him, could you do a video on Wenger or his Invincibles team?
I truly hope that one day I will be able to walk among that stadium
You will love it if you do. Even around the stadium/area is spot on too.
So, it ready for next season.... Look forward to it.
This is defo one of the best football channels on RUclips. Hoping you guys make a video on the downfall of Arsenal.

Is this rlly gonna be built?
Can u please do a video on the career of Louis van Gaal? Or his Ajax squad or 95?
Great video. Could you do a video on perhaps why Arsenal struggle to win major trophies or perhaps their tactics?
Another brilliant video!
Can you do a video on the fall of Ajax as a European power house please?
I just couldn't understand one thing , why can't they build with a capacity of some 80,000 ? or 75000 like manchester United , Its like an one time investment which would last for atleast few decades .
Video on Tottenham's new stadium?
I hava a few concerns with the whole thing. Of course a new stadium would be awesome and we actually need a bigger stadium to prevent us from falling far behind to the rest of the top clubs in terms of capacity.
Yet, I hate the idea of "Stamford Bridge" being renamed with a comercial name. Stamford Bridge is the reason why Chelsea exists! And also it takes an extremely long time to build it. I don't have a problem with playing at Wembley, yet there is the possibility that we'd have to share it with Tottenham and well no, I just wouldn't even consider doing that!
I hope (if the sharing situation would be the only possible sulution at Wembly), that we find another stadium that we wouldn't have to share!
dan levene wrote this, finally someone i know.
Should do a Tottenham one, as we are getting a new statdium as well
2022 season nearly here. and theyve not even started yet
all the best to Chelsea fc
spurs didn't move like arsenal or west ham, the new ground is being built around the lane
could you do a video on Feyenoords new stadium plans?
All these new stadiums make me sad. Nothing beats the atmosphere of the old grounds.
THIS IS AMAZING!
Can you do more about Asian Football and more on Stadiums?
THANKS! We can write it on our suggestions - Danny
you said there is possibility of them moving to the Olympic Stadium temporary isn't West Ham already playing there?
The two teams could ground share much like Inter and AC Milan do - Danny
Hey guys I need help, can you please make a video explaining " the second ball and first ball" I always hear that but can not tell what that mean, for example I will hear the say Crystal palace were catching or playing the second ball better or more than Arsenal. please help.
