I think we can all agree that sacking Thomas Tuchel was Chelsea's biggest mistake. This was a manager who after 4 months into the Chelsea job, he immediately got them top 4, a FA Cup final and the biggest highlight was winning the champions league and beat the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City in both the semifinals and final respectively. They also won 2 more trophies as well, and the next season Chelsea finished 3rd in the premier league, got to 2 more domestic cup finals unfortunately in both of them lost to Liverpool on penalty shootouts and in the champions league quarterfinals, they almost pulled off a comeback against Real Madrid in the second leg, a side who ended up winning the champions league in the end, and ok he lost the dressing room, and some of the players weren't happy with his tactics, but still Chelsea despite not being convincing and not playing attracting football that pleased the fans, they looked very good under Thomas Tuchel, yet the start of last season, you fired him which was beyond me. It's not only sacking him, but then hiring a manager like Graham Potter was their only choice and he was out of his depth, should've never been hired as Chelsea manager and he wasn't helped by the injuries, out of form players, or the big squad that was assembled and the results got worse and worse hence why they sacked him and couldn't give him the patience that was required, and once their season was over they reappointed Frank Lampard who was fired as Chelsea boss in his first stint, Everton almost got relegated and they also got rid of him as well, he's worse than Potter, and Mauricio Pochettino to be honest, isn't an elite coach and it shouldn't be a surprise that the team even after their summer rebuild where they cleared out the squad yet still spent 300+ million can't get results as their recklessness have left them with such a vulnerable squad and too many injured players in the team.
Apparently tuchel was only sacked because he and Boehly were on bad terms

You can't expect to sell all the backbone of your team and get results, at least in the short term. The remaining players with seniority were sold (Kepa, Havertz, Mount, Kovacic, Azpilicueta)

Going absolutely mental with both buying and selling players in the way Chelsea have been doing is just so unsustainable. The two reasons why Man United were so successful under Ferguson was because they'd refresh the team every season to keep the squad from aging too much and they went for the right sort of players. That helps maintain chemistry within the squad and the style of football the manager wants to play. Going out and buying essentially two whole squads of nothing but kids/young adults and immediately putting them on ludicrous contracts is literally begging for disaster.
They should have made signings more gradually and signed 2 or 3 per window to give the squad chance to gel together
@@Vizeh Chelsea signed 12 players this summer, some of whom have been sent out on loan. In the summer of 2003 when Abramovich arrived Chelsea signed 13 players that summer. They signed more in the following January & then even more in the next summer. And none of those signings were sent out on loan.
What's more, the previous season Chelsea had finished 4th in the Prem & were in the CL.
Whereas the previous season to this summer's addition of 12 new players, Chelsea finished 12th in the Prem & will not have CL this season.
Therefore you COULD argue there was more reason & more justification for the current owners overhauling the squad than there was for Abramovich to do so.

Putting them on ludicrous contracts? Not at all, in fact on the contrary. The new owners at Chelsea have reduced the club's annual wage bill from £226m to £128m. That's a £100m reduction in just one year.
There are now only two players earning over £200k per week & only one player earning over £300k per week.
They're anything but ludicrous contracts, they are now putting players on much more sensible contracts.
Tuchel was the best thing to happen for Chelsea. Won them the Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup. Aswell as losing the final of Carabao Cup and Fa Cup to Liverpool on penalties.

At least he not only got to those finals, but kept a clean sheet in both games minus the shootouts despite losing them. Both finals ended up being 0-0 draws going to penalties
Like sure they had lost to an eventually relegated Leeds and Southampton before Tuchel was sacked but the previous game was a competitive draw with spurs, and Tuchel was forced to have a greater hand in transfers with the departure of Petr Cech and Granovskaia it was lunacy

I'm not a Chelsea fan, but that 2021 Champions League run was special- and all the parts fit perfectly in place. And I think the start of the real collapse was Abramovich being forced to sell the club. And I mean on every level- suddenly sacking the manager, probably changing scouts and directors and medical staff that have been there for years, and it was very easy to see it took toll on the players too. Players who suddenly lost interest, I mean who wouldn't after changing managers 3 times in 9 months, players who weren't injury-prone facing injury, and the atmosphere and football identity was lost after Abramovich sold the club and they sacked Tuchel.
I'm sure everyone has heard that "football heritage" speech by Jose Mourinho, but again- that CL run had players who were investments from the past. Academy players like Reece James, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson Odoi, Billy Gilmour, and veterans like Rudiger, Kante, Azpi, and it's insane that now, only 2 years later only 3 players even remain from that squad. Even players who I thought would've NEVER left Chelsea, suddenly packed up and left.
It's honestly sad to see.

But once again this is another inaccurate account of what actually happened. The timeline proves it.
The new owners didn't make a load of changes BEFORE the season started. Chelsea's poor season was already underway BEFORE many of the changes happened.
Tuchel wasn't sacked because of anything to do with poor results or the poor start to the season. He was sacked because the manager & the owners couldn't come to an agreement on what the owners wanted the manager's role to be as the club went forward.
It wasn't really a sacking as such, it was a mutual parting of the ways. But technically it was a sacking & this was because doing in this way was financially beneficial for Tuchel (& much less problematic for the club).
The overhauling of the medical dept & various other areas of the club also didn't happen until well after the season had started.
Prior to the start of the 2022/23 season the new owners had only signed 5 new players for the first team plus a 6th player on loan. They literally had no choice but to sign these players. It wasn't Todd Boehly's fault that Rudiger & Christensen had both chosen to decline a new contract & instead run their existing contract down to become free transfers. Rudiger wanted to go to Real Madrid & Christensen wanted to go to Barcelona.
Alonso wanted to leave because Barcelona wanted him & Emerson wanted to leave because he rarely got any game time at Chelsea.
The Lukaku signing had been a total disaster (nothing to do with the new owners) & all parties wanted him out of the club. Timo Werner was wanted back by RB Leipzig & it wasn't a surprise to anybody that he left Chelsea.
And the things I've laid out above is the extent of the goings-on in the summer before Chelsea's poor 2022/23 season.
What is there out of all the events I've mentioned that came about as a result of anything Boehly or the owners did?
It sounds as if you're blaming Boehly & the owners for doing something wrong in regard to Reece James, Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Gilmour, Rudiger, Kante, Azpi. What is it exactly that the new owners did or didn't do in regard to any of the players you've named that was wrong or was a mistake?
James was given a new 6 yr contract by Boehly. Gilmour was sold before Boehly bought the club. Mount was repeatedly offered a new contract by the previous regime & by the new regime. He chose to leave Chelsea. Hudson-Odoi hasn't shown he merits a place in the first team. Chelsea have been extremely patient with him, they even turned down a £50m offer for him from Bayern Munich a few years ago.
Rudiger wanted Real Madrid & so wouldn't sign a new contract. Kante was incredibly injury prone & he was on £325k per week. Azpi was very tempted to leave Chelsea 12 months before he actually did. He only agreed to stay another 12 months because Todd Boehly asked him to.
So what players did you expect would never leave Chelsea?
As a Chelsea fan its absolutely crazy to see your team just crumble. Honestly it hasnt even been worth my time watching and buying tickets. There is absolutely no passion in the game anymore just money. Feel as if Chelsea need to be relegated or something for the club to think.

It's crazy that Chelsea not too long ago was doing well domestically, winning a few premier league titles, did well in Europe winning the champions league twice, won almost every trophy in the Abramovich era, constantly qualifying for the top 4 every season, and all of this was during a period in which there was no continuity when it came to managers, they came and even if they did well and won trophies, a bad run of form meant they lost their job changing managers year in year out, while winning trophies, and now despite spending over a billion dollars in the last 12 months, 5 different managers, broke the premier league transfer record twice just this year alone, Chelsea are simply an ordinary club right now, they finished 12th last season that resulted in them not playing any sort of European football this season, and also to start the season they've won just 1 out of 6 premier league games and they're struggling to score goals once again which isn't really a surprise and it seems like even sacking Pochettino and hiring another manager won't be the solution to Chelsea as right now there isn't a project at this football club right now, they're all over the place and I don't know when they're gonna be back in the right trajectory as when you want a project to click and have success, you need to get short term results and that's gonna help them in the long run, Todd Boehly has rushed things and never took a patient approach with this team hence why they're gonna continue to struggle and it's getting ugly right now how bad Chelsea are.

with knowledgeable staff and even with frequent managerial changes always stayed focused on the end result. What we have now is a man with no direction,

Because YOU don't understand what Chelsea are doing, because YOU don't know anything about the long term project Chelsea are implementing, you automatically assume there is no project, there are no plans.
There is a clearly defined & very comprehensive long term (10yrs) project at Chelsea. It is titled "Vision 2030". The head architect of Vision 2030 was Neil Bath, a 30 year employee of Chelsea. Neil Bath is also the man who since 2011 was the No.1 head man at the Chelsea academy & more than anyone else has been responsible for developing the country's leading academy at Chelsea. It was primarily his 'project' that led to Chelsea having the most successful academy & youth production line of any club in England. And for a certain period of time it was recognised as the leading academy in Europe.
What you also won't know is how Vision 2030 didn't come about under the new ownership, it originated when Abramovich was still in control. The first 7 year contract a player signed was under Abramovich.
And finally....when the club was being sold, one of the conditions that Abramovich was insistent on was that the new owners give a commitment to continue with the implementation of Vision 2030.

They had a promising pre-season, and their performance in the States had many people thinking they were going to return to European football, but the beginning of this season looks like the second-half of last season all over again.
Problem is that Nkuku is out and he was the main reason they looked better.

Tuchel didn't sign all them players you mentioned, they were all signed under lampard. Tuchel was never really given a chance to rebuild, he had an idea a philosophy and should have been the man to spend the funds

You are aware of how the new owners at Chelsea have just spent more money in one year, & in 3 consecutive transfer windows, than Abramovich ever spent? They've recently smashed the British transfer record, twice.
As strange as it sounds but if Abramovich was still the owner then they wouldn't have spent anywhere near as much in the past year.

@@hellotherereal He was on loan all last season & then as with all loanees he returned to his club, Chelsea, when all the players return from their summer break. But Malang Sarr has never been a part of the first team's training & is one of a handful of players who train separately, sometimes with the Development squad, sometimes on their own. Sarr is one of those players who isn't a particularly well known name & a player that hasn't been a part of the club's plans for a long time. Certainly long before Pochettino came to the club.
Sarr is one of the few players that was left at Cobham when the players went to America for their pre-season.
The only reason Sarr is still at Chelsea as of this moment is because he was quite literally the only player the club failed to move on in the summer. Ideally they wanted to sell him but if they couldn't then they'd try for a loan somewhere.
The club even got the likes of Lukaku & Ziyech out & to another club last summer. A sale of Lukaku, Ziyech, Kepa, would have been best but a loan deal was all Chelsea could do for now. So three loans & one non-mover & the last remaining player that's still at Cobham is Malang Sarr.
So I honestly don't see why there would be any need for Pochettino to know or have heard about a player in Sarr's position. He is literally sitting in the departure lounge waiting around until he leaves.

One point that u failed to mention imo was how good of a owner abramovich was unlike boehly.
When Abramovich first cam in he didnt just mess everything up and send players out and in like boely did. Instead he gave our managerbat the time 4 good players and we got champions league that yr. Then he decided to sack that manager to get mouriho because of how good he was at porto. For those who dont know mourinho made porto the fist team out of the top 5 leagues to win the UCL.
That summer abramovich gave mourinho the players he wanted while keeping the players who were at the club these are the likes of JT and lampard. Unlike boehly he didnt just send lots of players out and in a few years. Abramoich built a empire at chelsea who always were hungry to win. And we became very sucessful. For the people who say chelsea were just built on money is very false. Abramovich was very smart owner. And we are seeing it now that money doesnt equal success with Boely.

I do remember Abramovich was criticized many times for sacking managers too often, but it did work and kept the standards at the club high. That’s also because there was always a core set of leaders that knew what Chelsea meant to hold the line too

I feel like you nailed on the head on the 'young players already completing football even before starting it' sentiment, and I think that's the reason why they choose Chelsea. I feel like these are some lads that know they can just milk the next 8 years, and as long as they don't spend extravergantly and party all night, they can basically have retirement funds sorted by the time they're in the early 30's / late 20's; hence they choose to go to "play" for Chelsea over other clubs.

Of all the new young players the highest earner is Enzo Fernandez & he is reckoned to be on around £150k -- £180k per week. Let's go with the £180k: £180k per week is £9.6m per year. That equates to a total of £76.8m over 8 years.
The highest paid player at the club is Raheem Sterling & he's on £325k per week. He's got a 5 year contract & 5 years on £325k works out at a total of £84.5m.
You would need an 8 year contract at £350k per week for the total sum to be £140m.
And no, you would be completely wrong to think any of the young players that Chelsea have recently signed will be looking at their contract & thinking it will be the best contract they'll get in their career. Each & every one of them will have ambitions that will include earning bigger & better contracts in the future. They know they're not on the really big money yet & they also know that if you prove yourself to be a good asset to Chelsea then they will reward you with a bigger salary. Deivid Washington, for example, the 18 yr old from Brazil, is on just £7,000 a week. Lavia, Ugochukwu, Gusto, are on £45k a week.
Gallagher, Madueke, Chalobah, are on £50k per week. Jackson is on £65k. Palmer £75k. Dasisi £80k. Badiashile £90k. Mudryk, Chukwuemeka, £100k. Silva £110k. Caicedo £150k. Cucurella £175k.
Fofana £200k.
If you think Romeo Lavia thinks a contract worth £45k per week is the best he'll ever get then you're living in la la land. The same with Jackson & £65k per week. The same with Palmer, the same with all of them, they will all be hoping for much bigger contracts eventually. Malo Gusto will be looking at the club's other right-back, Reece James, & be saying to himself if Reece can earn a contract worth £250k per week then so can I.
And because Chelsea worked long & hard to make sure they only bought young players of the highest calibre they will be hoping a large number of these young players will develop to a very high level. There'll inevitably be a number of them that don't develop to their full potential, that's only to be expected when you've got a dozen or more very young players. The law of averages means not all of them will become top draw players but there's no reason why the majority of them won't become outstanding top level players. It's hard to see how players like Caicedo & Enzo won't reach the absolute highest levels in the game. Caicedo, for example, has all the qualities needed to eventually be as good as Kante was at his best. Jackson is similar to Drogba in a lot of ways & should be aiming to replicate Drogba's achievements.
Then you simply have no idea at all. The reason these young players have got to where they are in the game already is because they are incredibly ambitious. Someone like Moises Caicedo doesn't want to milk anything, all he wants to do is have a career like N'golo Kante had. He wants to achieve the things Kante achieved. He wouldn't even be able to comprehend the notion of just coasting through his career. And how long do you think a player who did such a thing would last if they had an attitude like that?
It's incredible that anyone could be so out of touch with the reality of something like this. Commonsense alone should be enough to make you realise how football players at that level just aren't like this.

You can almost predict how these things play out......widespread criticism of the club & it's new & imaginative ideas for the game. As Liverpool fan, biggest Boehly mistakes is letting go Jorginho, Kante, and Azpilicueta around same time frame. Of course, they are on decline but they are the leaders of previous generation of the club along with Chilwell and James. You can't have a pressured team without any leaders. There's reason Klopp want Milner and Henderson to stay for so long, because they are Liverpool leaders. We also have leadership/mentor group including Van Dijk, Salah, Robbo, and Trent. That's why Liverpool rarely have flopped transfer because the youngsters and new players were mentored by seasoned vets who demand really high standards on daily basis.
Meanwhile Chelsea signing too many wonderkids, kicking the seasoned vets and called them "deadwoods", and expect the newcoming kids to magically perform well without any guidance. That kind of thinking only works in FIFA and FM, and that won't work in real life.
My guess for short term solution is signing Jorginho, Kante, and Azpilicueta for maybe 1 year, then ask them to push the standards of the youngster until they ready.
Azpilicueta was planning to leave & return to Spain 12 months before he actually did. It was only because the club asked him to stay a bit longer that he was even at Chelsea last season.
Jorginho's contract was ending at the end of last season. He was on £325k a week, he was 31, & he was past his best & had been below-par for a couple of seasons. Was the club supposed to give a new contract & £325k per week to a 31 yr old player who simply wasn't good enough anymore? Or would it be better to let him leave a few months before his contract ends & thereby receive £12m for him & then replace him with a 21 yr old player like Enzo Fernandez?
Kante was also at the end of his contract. He earned even more than Jorginho at £350k per week. He was also in his 30's. Plus for the past couple of seasons he had been extremely injury prone. Should the club really be paying over £300k a week to these players who weren't being of much benefit to the team anymore?

Not every youngsters have the mentality of Mbappe or Bellingham. Some of them end up like Hudson Odoi or Sancho, Many of them have only just got their confidence after 1 good season, if they moved with high price transfers, they will pressured with expectation to perform, then if their next season turned out to be bad one they would crumbled under price tag pressured and booed on/off the pitch (especially with social media era nowadays). At this situation many youngsters fall and never become who they ever was.
That's why mentor/senior figure were needed, especially if your team have many kids with those situation. Sure it's ultimately back to the kids as guys like Sancho were just lazy, but the mentors presence sure were lowering the risk a lot.

No club is going to offer players like Jorginho or Kante or Azpilicueta a new contract when they're on wages of around £300k a week just so they can mentor young players. And the squad needs to be around a max of 25 or 26 players.
Also, some of these players at the tail end of their careers often have one last thing they want to achieve. For example: Azpi wanted to return to Spain & play in the Spanish league before he retires. Rudiger had a good offer from Real Madrid & as we see with many players who get a chance to go to Madrid, it was something he really wanted to do. Similar thing with Alonso & Christensen & being offered a chance to play for Barcelona.
Kante had one last chance of securing a huge payday when he got an offer from Saudi Arabia. Plus he has been extremely injury prone in the last few years. Koulibaly, Ziyech, Mendy, Kepa, Aubameyang, Pulisic, RLC, Hudson-Odoi, Lukaku, Havertz, Kovacic, all of these players were better off leaving Chelsea.
Regarding Azpilicueta......he was pushing for the club to let him move to Spain before the start of last season, summer 2022, because it was strongly rumoured that Barcelona wanted him. However, Todd Boehly did exactly what you were asking for, he persuaded him to stay for one more season & if he agreed to do that then Chelsea wouldn't ask for a transfer fee, thereby giving him the opportunity for a more lucrative contract with whoever he signed for. The club did exactly the same this summer for N'golo Kante. Kante had one more year remaining on his contract but because he's been such a special player for the club it was decided he could leave on a free transfer. If I remember rightly then I think the club did the same thing for Petr Cech when he went to Arsenal. It's a way of rewarding a player that has been a particularly special servant of the club.
Chelsea could have forced Kante to remain at Chelsea for another year if they'd decided to enforce his contract but that would have been an outrageous way to treat Kante at this point in his career.

Be positive, look at it this way....Chelsea signed Mo Salah when Liverpool had thought he was signing for them. He didn't, he changed his mind at the last moment after Chelsea swooped in with an offer for him. However, because Salah was only 21 & wasn't at the level where he was a regular in the Chelsea team he went out on loan &, well, point is he ended up at Liverpool & when he was in his prime too.
So, Liverpool may have missed out on Caicedo & of getting their hands on a future world class player on this occasion but as the Salah situation showed, you never know what might happen in the future.
I must say though, as a Chelsea fan it seemed only fitting that we should snap up this midfield diamond of a player because we have done so well when we have this type of player. There was Claude Makelele, then N'golo Kante, now there's Moises Caicedo. The first two were utterly world class & the third one, Caicedo, is sure to reach that same level before too long.

Someone who left this window dont remember who said that the injuries are because they have very poor training structure. Was it always a thing? No. Why not? Because most (if not all) of 'the behind the scenes' people are also new. As Drogba said: I dont recognize my club anymore. Everything is new and how do you expect a new player/staff to build upon some established legacy and experience when there is literally nobody from the old days.

What I find strange is that he brings in a sporting director, and there has been no change at all in how they operate. I would say I feel sorry for these players. Maybe I do for the first few they signed. Those players would have had no idea how chaotic it was going to be. Lavia is a back up to the most expensive player in PL history. Why go there? Ciacedo could have played for Jurgen Klopp and been surrounded by an ambitious, hungry squad, but he chose money over a successful career. When you try to manage a team from the boardroom, this is what's happens. Selling Kovacic and Mount this summer was madness. Letting Rudigers contract run down last summer was ludicrous. You can't rebuild a whole team, including the spine of the team, and expect it to work in such a short space of time. Theres a real danger they'll be in a relegation fight.

A big point about the way Chelsea are conducting themselves right now that not many people focus on is that Boehly's strategy is to take the jeopardy out of football and run it purely as a business with a complete bastardisation of a moneyball concept. There are no footballing reasons behind the signings and hoarding of many of the world's best young talent, it has been done solely for the means of future profit, as Boehly has realised that if you take a player from anywhere else in Europe and bring them to the Premier League, their market value is going to sky rocket regardless of form and on-pitch impact. Only one of the multitudes of young players bought has to succeed for this method to pay off, and with being able to amortise any costs over an 8 year period now with the ridiculously lengthy contracts handed out, it's going to mean any players they sell will be at the biggest premium possible, with being calculated as incrementally as possible in their finances. Chelsea is a club completely devoid of footballing philosophy, integrity and passion and that's all only been made worse by Todd Boehly, I'm personally delighted to see them fail and hope real clubs like Brighton carry on prevailing over this thoughtless, scattergun player hoarding profit operation disguising itself as a football club.

I am Chelsea fan, I think some mistakes were made for sure. First I think after the takeover we should have done a few things,
1) kept the old board and staff through the transfer window.
2) keep petr chec
3) don't go asking TT to do the job of scout, negotiator etc, buy a ton of guys for TT and then end up firing TT all this could have been avoided if you did 1 and 2
I think this summer's transfer window was pretty good. A lot of players we didn't need were sold.
Like you said stability is key in adding in world class talent. But you need to build stability sometimes at the expense of results and Chelsea fans don't have that kind of patience.

Todd and management are the problem. Not players, staff or technical team. The owners think this is baseball, or American football, or basketball or some American sport. Americans just mess up things everywhere they go, they create chaos, wars, business and now sports too. Which team in their right mind spends millions on young inexperience players, who on top of that don't have any major silverware under their belts? I believe Todd wants total control of everything and everyone at Chelsea. I think he sacked Tuchel because he couldn't control him, he needed a "yes man" manager, and Potter was perfect to get control. I mean there was no reason for Tuchel to leave the club and selling most of the players that won the champions league. And I also believe Conar got the captain's band because of how hard working he is, he isn't the best player but I think most of the young players that are there at Chelsea don't have the attitude to play for Chelsea. There's a lot of "cool guys" syndrome around the dressing room, it's like having 20 Neymars in one room, talented but not hard working. So Todd and management needed to take the system that was already there and enhance it. I just wish Puttin never invaded
I haven't watched football for a few years now and I didn't even kno what the hell was happening, but it hurts to see that the team that was once so dear to my heart is going through this. I was shocked to read that Abramovich is not the owner anymore and none of the players they had just five years ago are here, so it's really sad to hear this. I hope they will get back to the top. I also wished that they didn't sack Antonio Conte back in the days, despite having one bad season. They won the Premier League with him the previous season and then one bad season and they sacked him? They didn't even give him a chance. I hope they will sort things out. 😢

The problem with Chelsea is that they got rid of all mid players and signed a lot of players for big money and big contracts thinking that they're the future. But in reality, all are mids or one season wonders who don't have any experience in big stages, don't have leadership qualities. As all these players are new, they don't have chemistry also. On top of that it's very hard to get rid of them. This team is going to be a disaster for sure.

I'm a Liverpool fan and Man United actually aren't my most hated team, it's Chelsea and Real Madrid. Normally when a team is doing this bad I have some sympathy for their fans because I know how it feels, but not in this case. There's just so much about Chelsea that make them hateable and the current mockery they're making of football is one of them which makes it all the more satisfying that they're being punished for it.

I think all I can say on this is, as a non-Chelsea fan, and I think I speak for alot of non-Chelsea fans, with the way they are run, I'm really happy seeing them being so miserably unsuccessful. They've turned into the most soulless business-focused football club out there and the fact they haven't broken FFP after not making Europe in some way is beyond me.

Chelsea also significantly lowered the weekly wages of their signings. So the longer contracts aren’t as bad as past Chelsea signings on massive FFP wage hits. Chelsea aren’t paying the wages they used to so it’s not like they’re giving the young players all the money in the world now. Crystal Palace literally offered Olise much higher wages than Chelsea were offering. Chelsea’s wages are relative to other prem teams now so the point where they’re getting too much money and no longer motivated doesn’t make sense. As a Chelsea fan, it sucks what I'm seeing. I grew up watching Chelsea from 2003 as a kid, and supported them for the last 20 years, I've seen the highs, but this is the lowest I've seen us sink.
Todd Boehly is absolutely fucking clueless, most of the directors, sporting directors, technical directors, etc. have been sacked or have left the club post-Todd joining. The main issue is that there is no stability as is said in the video, when you have 30 strangers in a room every season, and then the next season, a new group of 30 strangers joining the club all of a sudden, no shit there's not going to be any results whatsoever. Abramovich had stability, he had everything down to a tee, but Todd is just thinking he can run this football club as if it's the NFL.
We only have 3 players that are still at the club that have won the UCL. We won the UCL in 2021. 2 fucking years ago, and only 3 players remain at the club? One of them is injured, Reece James, the other is about to retire, Thiago Silva, and lastly, Chilwell. What kind of team sells EVERYONE they had except for 3 players? Hell, I can't even fucking name the lineup each game because I do barely even recognise any of the players in the team.
