Prince was a perfectionist, if he wanted a thing done a certain way, you had better damn well do it that way... same goes for his musical skills, if he was going to sing, then he wanted it to be the best singing ‘ever’, same goes for his guitar playing, he was a bit of a Diva, renowned for not being the easiest to work with but poeople queued up to work with him because he was that damned good.

Chad Johnson this is actually an urban myth. It’s been going around, since Hendrix or Clapton supposedly said it about Phil Keaggy. Another was Hendrix saying go ask Rory Gallagher. Mark Knopfler is another one. None are true. But I see this quote all the time.
Not exactly. If he wanted to, he could have been on that level. But most people associate him with his dirty lyrics and his costumes. Those that followed him knew how talented he was. It took for after his passing for the rest of the world to see how genius he was.

You said, "I like his voice", when Jeff Lynne of E.L.O. was singing. I feel the same - he's got a great voice.
The guy that had his back when he leaned into the crowd caught the guitar
LMAOOOOO I just love Prince!!! He's quite the Master Entertainer and can play all the instruments. Yes, he's a bad a$$ guitar player! I loved your reaction!
First this is a cover of a George Harrison Beatles song
Tom Petty - one of the best selling artist in history. Don't thing you've done any of his songs yet.
Jeff Lynn - lead vocalist of ELO which you loved.
Steve Winwood - sang with Spencer Davis Group, Trafficx Blind Faith and more as well as a solo artist
Dhani Harrison - George Harrisons son.
As for Prince he is a out of this world instrumentalist not just guitar. On most of his albums he plays all the instruments.
Love Prince, great reaction!!
"If you are familiar with any of these artists..."
LOL
no! in the last 40 years i lived under a rock. ps: prince looks a bit like the symbol to me ...
Wow thanks for this! I never saw Prince shred like that before. Damn ☮️♥️😎🤟🏼
I suspect that strive for perfection is what killed him, in the end.
@@dwinkleman i think he was set up like many others.
Prince was never ever a perfectionist ..as almost every band member testifies ..he was very much organic and in the moment
i've watches this video 100 times or more, and it never gets old.
prince was a true musician!
“Prince, you can play the guitar like that?” WHAT?
@Claudine 27
Don’t be angry. He is experiencing most artists for the first time. I imagine he is familiar with some of the more famous Prince songs, but doubt he ever saw Prince perform.
@@lindahardy8713 This guy is absolutely clueless when it comes to artists and musical history. He even asked who Elvis was one time.
Amazing guitar playing by Prince.
This is the 5th RUclips reaction to the video in the last week. It must be on a list that RUclips emailed out to reactors guaranteeing them likes, subscribers and Patreon dollars.
Prince is the best
Eric Clapton was asked years ago how it felt to be the best guitar player in the world, his response was “I don’t know, you would have to ask Prince.”
Chad Johnson this is actually an urban myth. It’s been going around, since Hendrix or Clapton supposedly said it about Phil Keaggy. Another was Hendrix saying go ask Rory Gallagher. Mark Knopfler is another one. None are true. But I see this quote all the time.
Tommy Emmanuel is the first second and third best guitarists of the world
no use talkin 2 no brainers like this uploader clearly is.
@@Ds1950x The GOAT was Stevie Ray Von
Prince was a king!
Prince could have been a Hendrix level guitar god if he wanted to
What you mean could have been?
@@matthewdrake4385 He branched out into so much more. I think you're just looking for conflict
Not exactly. If he wanted to, he could have been on that level. But most people associate him with his dirty lyrics and his costumes. Those that followed him knew how talented he was. It took for after his passing for the rest of the world to see how genius he was.
He was and is. What do you mean "If he wanted to."? His body of work says it all.
@@jamesdixon6332 Did Prince play like this on every song? Did he play guitar at all on every song? The answer is no. He didn't want to pigeon hole himself. If he wanted to be the next Hendrix he could have. Period. Learn nuance. It's a valuable life skill.
Prince is the master
Hi could you have a listen to the wreck of the edmund fitzgerald by gorden lightfoot , a true story by one of Canada's best storytellers
Yesl
I just recommended that on his Glen Campbell reaction! Great choice.
Prince never gave us just the music, but a great performance as well! What a showman!!
It always gets me how Dhani Harrison looks so much like his father.
Seriously!!!
Prince always could shred a guitar....That sexy specimen was a genius of all instruments. HE DID THE DAMN THANG! He knew all the talent that was instilled in him..thats why he always strutted off the stage after every performance bc he knew he just killed it....I bet we never got to witness all the greatness that was within him bc he was TOOK from us far too soon. There will NEVER BE anyone that can compare to the talent, Soul & Funk Prince was gifted with...#GOAT💜
Please react to prince’s super bowl half time show 🙏 you won’t be disappointed!
YES!! In Miami thunderstorm and he never flinched! Folks tried to get him to call it off, but the phenomenal showman that he was, he was like hell no, and tore it UP (in them sexy ass high heeled boots too) Best half time show ever
Christine Macdonald they even tried to get him to perform pre recorded but he wasn’t havin any ov it! The mornin ov the show they asked him if he was ok about the weather an he said “can you make it rain harder” lol legend!
Laura Gerrard ha! Yeah I think I remember hearing that about him saying can they make it rain harder! God he was amazing
I have seen this video around RUclips. I cant see it enough. Prince was a prince of music and instruments. I loved his tribute.
George Harrisons son in the background
This is on my play list
Anytime Prince picks up his guitar or you know he's gonna play, I wanna scream DON'T BLINK!!!
It was beautiful....Prince played from his soul and the love and respect among everyone on that stage is real....and they make it look so easy to play seamlessly....
MASTERPIECE!!!🤘🎵🎼🎶🎸🎤🎧💜
History made, amazing best of the best!
So much talent on one stage.
