Beautiful and distinctive interpretation by Tavi, who shows us a masterclass of using the guitar dynamically in a myriad of ways. And that Sakurai is a powerful and sensitive beast! Bravo and warm wishes from Michigan.
This is one of the best performances of this hauntingly beautiful piece that I've ever heard. Tavi plays it with such deep emotional connection. Bravo!! 👏
I have been working on the phrasing for what seems forever on this piece and everytime I hear it , I hear something new, quieter here louder there, even a simpler piece like this , its all in the phrasing must practice
I picked this to get back into practice a while back thinking it would be way easier than some of the stuff I had given up on. Oh my god how wrong I was. I swear that barre in measure 42-43 is impossible. Haven't had a chance to improve my phrasing yet, still haven't even learned how to play all the notes.
Thanks Leopold. The details, phrasing, tone and fingerings is what separates the men from the boys when playing this piece. The difficulty does not lie in the technical aspect but in the phrasing and understanding of contrapuntal voices. Keep making good music!
Tavi - this piece by Sergio Assad is wonderful and peaceful. Is there any chance we might get a lesson on this on our Elite Guitarist site? Thanks, John
this guitar sounds quite different to Contreras on other of Tavi's vids'. I personally like this guitar much more than Contreras. A more matured sound, maybe better prepared timbers?
Look at the artist's remark below. A woman in CA I have traded guitars with in the past knows him. He is a regular guy with BIG talent. He got that good by working and studying at it.... along with excellent inborn 'wiring'.
i love the guitar, but i honestly don't like the way he plays this. it's too sharp sounding for my taste, but the ear he has for the life in the music is clear and i can respect that.
The more I listen to Tavi, the more I appreciate his genius.

Very well played. Sergio Assad is one of the finest composers for nylon string guitar of past century surely

The most beautiful version I know of this wonderful piece!
Conheci a pouco o trabalho do ilustre Sérgio Assad, conterrâneo de minha cidade Mococa-SP
I love the block chords. The basses sound amazing on this guitar.
Fabulous, played with such beautiful tone, passion and understanding of this lovely piece.
Stellar! Beautiful and your tone/control is top notch.
Sublime interpretation, bravo!
Such simple tune, yet the phrasing you and attention to detail you put into it makes it come so alive. I wish I could play like that...

Maravilhosa performance. Parabéns ao músico!
Que som é esse desse violão!!!!!!! Shows!!!!!
Damn Tavi is just the Best!
Beautifully played!
Beautiful.
Flawless.
Lindíssima! ❤
Very nice. Thanks
superb my friend...
I have this guitar!
Uau! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks.... Nice Playing.....
Please make a video on how to play this please
De toute beauté

Hi John, that is a fantastic idea. Sure, I will resurrect it and then will record a tutorial of it. Thanks for the suggestion.
As usual Tavi has a magic touch of subtle beauty. Nice guitar, but I am sure that Tavi could make it sound good a $200 guitar.
Hi, is he really playing a $200 guitar? What model is he playing?
+tessie mcdonell this is not 200$ guitar, it costs something around 10000$ and its Masaki Sakurai Maestro

Does anyone know if Assad himself has been recorded playing the solo guitar arrangement?
tolle Gitarre

Are you playing a double top guitar?
Muy bonito, que pena el plaqué del Fmaj7
I think measures 71 and 72 are the most difficult to play cleanly.
Simply incredible. I might as well throw away my guitar.
Don't throw it away :) Keep making great music!

could you share the sheet music please
Archive 81 vibes anyone?
An amazing guitarist but for me, this piece’s fluidity suits the phrasing of Ana Vidovic.
