To be honest, I'm 56 yo. I loved The Rolling Stones, The Who, Grand Funk, Ian Hunter, The Police, The Cars, Blue Oyster Cult, and especially Led Zeppelin. My wife met Aaron at their show in Maplewood, Mn. last August. I should have been there too, but my boss dicked with my work schedule so I missed the show! AWOLnation is one of my favorite bands now!! God, I'm sorry I missed that show!!
+tootired76 She met Aaron and the whole band backstage. She said Aaron and all his band mates were very down to earth and very cordial! Very awesome to hear about up coming superstars!!!

You sound like that you are a lot like me and welcome new and exciting bands while our favorite FM radio stations now play "Classic Rock" which play the same damn 100 songs over and over! Can only listen to Boston or Lynrd Skynrd 300 times before they get old! I drive truck up in Minnesota and every now and then i get to hear a station play 1 of 100,000 "B side" songs from the classic rockers. This is lucky. All the other "Plastic Rock" stations play the same 100 as the main Classic rock station plays here in the Twin Cities!
I'm 64 and add Beatles / Status Quo / AC/DC to your list......... AN are my fave "new" band..... AWOLNATION rocks !!!!

How does the echoing not get on the band's nerves and mess up their concentration? I know they're all wearing ear pieces but still.....
Catherine B cause the in ear monitors are noise cancelling, you cant here anything else other than whats in your ear mix.
Catherine B Because they're musicians... Echo usually does not mess up a musician who is playing a song because they know where they're supposed to be playing. They've got a sense of timing too you know? Sorry if I sound like a jerk.

Yeah, I guess it seems obvious to us musicians, but I can understand how someone who doesn't play might see it as difficult. Most of the time they're following the drums anyways. That's what it's there for, to keep the tempo. Everyone follows the drummer. Hope that helps!

Ffs, I hate it when bands more rock live than they sound in their albums. Why the useless edditing if you can't make the same sound on stage? Furthere more - you sound way more awesome live. Still a great modern band though. It's just a weird 20xx phenomena, a lot of bands are doing this. It's like they are afraid to sound like a rock band on their recordings.
