    I swapped my 2004 Mustang GT gauges for the 2001 Mustang GT Bullitt instrument cluster. Ford dealership did the installation. Looked like factory original. 👍

    Now my only question is will this work between the 94-98 years if swapping with a 99-04 cluster? I know the title says 94-04 but...are the sn95 and new edge models using the same cluster style, size and all of that for a direct swap? I know the 99-04 lenses will not swap with 94-98 and vice versa!

    Hi. Thanks for the tutorial. You mentioned that you can change out to a digital speedo, which is fabulous to know. I have low vision and sometimes reading the speedo is tough. I've been using a secondary digital speedo that mounts in a vent clip, but if can change out the factory speedo for digital... Wow! What would you suggest?

    • @Thatlowdsg
      @Thatlowdsg  2 года назад

      If it’s digital I was talking about aftermarket ones which I honestly don’t know any I’ve only looked at trim/stock one’s. They can be pricey too and custom so may take some order time. If the vent clip doesn’t bother you’d I’d honestly stick with that!

If I get another cluster from a salvage yard, how would someone reprogram the correct mileage onto the replacement cluster or circuit board? Any help would be great. Sorry Randy just now saw this, more than likely a dealer will have to program it. if you cant swap the circuit board like i showed and that doesnt do the trick it will need reprogrammed. as for the cluster issues i looked around on forums its probably a bad ground located behind the radio. something about the pcm or vss is what i saw online. check the grounds and check fuses.

      This is neat for sure, but it doesn't work for 98 and earlier cars. I hate to be that guy, but this guy's gonna waste time/money on this and be disappointed in the end. The 99+ gauges are ECU driven (and tied into the PATS system), have different pin locations (to prevent the gauges being swapped into an older cluster), and different cluster connectors (to prevent the cluster being swapped into an older car).
      The only way to get a 99+ cluster running in a 94-98 car would be to swap the ECU and associated wiring, or run an aftermarket ECU that supports it (I know one of the plug and play Megasquirts does). You see New Edge Coyote Swaps run 94-98 clusters for the same reason (they don't have to run the stock ECU).
      If this guy wants a digital Odometer that bad, a Dakota Digital cluster would be easier.
