My boyfriend and I met on a bar crawl in Cairns. I had to leave after about a week, to work on an island off Melbourne and he followed me there 3 days later. 2.5 years later were planning our next backpacking trip and then moving to Sydney together. It insane that the best people you meet are whilst travelling, We can't quite adjust to living back home now though.

I've never seen someone explain the up and down nod so perfectly. And doesn't matter where you are on the Aussie coast when someone asks where you're travelling to you always say up or down the coast 😂
Ahh this brought back so many memories! I cycled from Sydney to Brisbane last May/June. I really liked Port Mac, as well as Broken Head Beach near Byron - I sat on this hill and watched the whales migrating. Have fun on your trip you two!

When do you land? Depending on the time I’d either travel up the coast (at the end of summer/beginning of fall) or maybe fly to Melbourne or Cairns after and travel up or down the east coast😊

If you want to travel a bit first that might be a good time to either slowly travel up the east or west coast and arrive somewhere north in Februari/March as it will be rain season in the north until then. Around Perth you have Exmouth which is meant to be amazing for scubadiving, if you're interested in that. You could also choose to fly somewhere or buy a car and travel from wherever you are. But honestly, don't plan to much. I never did and I'm loving it! You will meet amazing people on the way who will give you advice on where to go and what to do, or even invite you with them. Just relax, enjoy and you'll have the best time!

I did three years of uni (med school), then dropped out, then was healing from a severe depression for three years and now I don’t know wether should i go travelling (and follow my dreams of seein the whole world) or should i go back to school and persue my dreams of being an artist (be stuck in uni for four years)¿ if anyone wants to give their opinion itd be nice
