  • Another kayak fishing outing on Pellicer Creek but this time I decided to explore the western end of the creek which took me underneath Florida Interstate 95. I did more exploring than fishing but still managed to catch a few redfish and speckled trout including a very ice slot redfish near the highway.

I went that way with Gheenoe Guy and it was really a cool place to see. Really deep in the corners but we didn’t catch anything to speak of. You had a great day there, man!

I have been past US1 and it gets very narrow and more fresh . Seen lots of Gar fish back there. Great video buddy 👍👍

I hear there are snook that roam back there. I didn’t see any but saw at least half a dozen dead tarpon. All juveniles that didn’t survive the first freeze we had.

Another great video. I am jealous of the consistent quality of your videos. You do fantastic job.
Fish biting to where it interrupts your narration is a good problem to have.
As someone else here already commented, as you get closer and past 95 it starts getting fresh. Back in the day I would head back there in the spring and skip lizard baits up under overhangs and put it on little rat large mouth bass. There are also some deep holes back there that hold schools of panfish.
    Tight lines 🤙 🎣

Thanks Shawn. It was a slow day on the water but that slot red was well the effort. I saw at least 6 dead juvenile Tarpon just floating that didn't survive the last freeze we had. Probably a lot more that I didn't see - sad.

Enjoying your videos especially the lake Guana shots. I loved fishing the lake. Question what brand or type winter boots you wearing to keep your feet dry and warm? Thanks

Thanks. I’m using NRS boundary boots. I didn’t like the flat bottom of the boots so I inserted SuperFeet Green insoles and now they are perfect for me. I also ordered the boots a half size up so I can wear thick socks. ruclips.net/video/zSzp3Ueyb0w/видео.html
