We were always at the same schools, always running into each other, always able to stay close and share great relationships. We all even ended up going to the same college. As I'm getting older, I worry about my own fertility and I hope that I too can have a few kids in a quick sequence so that my parents, who had me at 40 year old, will be able to see my children grow up too. It often strikes me at how my mom is currently 66 and her mother is 92. I'm 26 and I was blessed enough to know my grandma for this long. Yet by the time I'm 66, my mother will have been long gone. I wonder how long my kids will have with her and I wonder how long she'll get to love and adore them too.

Well played Madeline 😂 FYI our girls are 5 years apart, and I'm very thankful. I've gotten to have their first 5 baby years at home before they started school. Then when the youngest was about to start school we began homeschooling. Even though they are 5 years apart in age, they are very close. It has helped that we only have to pay for college and cars 1 at a time with space between. I'm by no means saying this is what you should do. I'm just telling you how it has helped us and them. They've both gotten to go through their own stages and phases in life without the other stealing their thunder so to speak.
