Man… where to start…. This has to be THEE most nostalgic ps1 game for me. Well the trilogy. I was born in 93 so as an almost 31 year old adult male, I can say 100 percent that I can remember everything about all of these games. My father got me into them when I became 5 or 6 and I can just remember the countless hours I’d spend just searching. Looking around the levels as he would be the one to actually beat the game I just messed around in his saves. So many memories to the noises, the sound you make when you find a secret, the sound of those guns man. It seriously makes me cry sitting here playing the same games as I bought the remaster just today. Man does time fly, hold on to your loved ones and do not ever let them go, cause dad were gunna have an awesome night reliving where my love for games truly started. He is alive and well by the way. Your videos are INCREDIBLE. Makes me want to really dig in and 100 percent all three games. God bless you and i apologize for the long post, I just can’t help but say something when I know I’m not the only kid who ever felt the feelings and emotions that I have through playing a video game. Just one more to add to the long list haha

I loved watching him play for hours, i was born in 98 so when i would want to play he would give me the second controller but never connect it. So the whole time i thought i was playing when he actually was. I loved this game so much it would make me so happy just to have something to bond with my dad, i called her “la mama de playstation”- “the playstation momma” 😂 Buying it and finally playing it for myself had to be one of the best thing i did to make my inner child happy 🥰

Not only that, but while I've skimmed through a bit of the video here and there, there's not only fewer fuck-ups, but he also *takes the time* to show the extra detail and stuff. I'm talking specifically about near the Opera House where he looks at the sky more than once, and the extra cool details they added. Simply the best!

Most of the Tomb Raider 2 levels were padded out with pointless busy work for Lara. At least the floating Jade Temple level and later levels had some challenging and otherworldly real Tomb Raiding and atmosphere to them. In my humble opinion, of course.
Loved every second of this, i was a bit frustrated when you did not use the harpoon gun to fight underwater threats, but i get it, its faster to just swim around them.

Hey there Steven I remember when this game came out in 97 I was 16. Through the years this game has been my rock taking my back and forth through good and bad times. This soundtrack has always been my fave and thank you for remaking tomb raider 2 truly in my opinion a classic like resident evil two be well thanks again.
Thanks for these so much! Also, its been discovered on the subreddit that if you hold the keys/buttons for walk+look _while loading a save,_ you will equip Lara's red circle glasses. Works for every game and every outfit, but only in new graphics.
I still can't believe back then I witnessed my mom pass all three games because these were her favorite back then. Now she doesn't remember how to play. But it was still awesome seeing my mom go through an adventure.

Thank you! I played in childhood and still remember Venice, Opera House and Diving Area.. The most difficult thing was the Opera House. There is a lot of jumping, climbing, and if you fall, you have to start this level from where the save point is. I couldn't pass it for several days. I may have played part 1, because... I remember in the beginning there was snow, mountains and caves. I didn’t manage to play part 3.. I want to go through all 3 remasters and all the others from the very beginning in anticipation of a new game from this universe..

5:02:11 I think that among the levels of the original trilogy, the "Floating Islands", was the most unsettling and scary level, as this place looks like a demonic dimension, adding that the seemingly infinite chasm gives a dreadful trait to this place, without count the dark soundtrack that has mysterious and eerie whispers, like if this were the voices of the monsters in the background, making this a very terrifying level.
Yeah I truly wonder why they've changed the entire skybox and added such a big shiny moon. That doesn't fit the whole atmosphere and in some ways ruined it. 😢
@@stevenPCGaming Yeah. Without the moon, the "Floating Islands" looks scarier, as this gives this place a more esoteric environment, for lacked any feature of our world.
Good to see Palace Midas or St Francis Folly weren’t the only ones that got an overhaul in the hopefully first patch. 40 Fathoms has at least been improved, I do hope that means more levels will get the same treatment eventually!

@@stevenPCGamingHaha, no, you're not the only one doing this on PC, but I was looking for PC 100% walkthroughs since the day it premiered and your videos were the 1st ones to pop up. Most of them are PS5. Also, other gamers I've found on here tend to skip secrets or kills or pickups. The way I understand "100%" is all enemies, all pickups, all secrets and all achievements. Yours is by far the closest to this definition. As far as my memory serves, the only thing missing about your walkthroughs are a few kills here and there, so.... I'd say this is as good as it gets. Brilliant work. 👌

Easily my favourite of the classic series, also the only one I've been able to complete on my own merits without the use of cheats. Also possibly where Lara starts to demonstrate her bloodlust, since she builds up a sizeable bodycount against the Femma Nera cult throughout. People say she was bloodthirsty in the rebooted trilogy, it all started here in my opinion. xD The Opera House remains one of my favourite levels of all time: just this huge expanse you go back and forth across doing puzzles and getting key items and fighting enemies. Feels like the precursor to some of the level design in 3 and 4. (except some of those took it a bit too far in terms of figuring these things out on your own).

Fantastic walkthrough of the remastered version of my favourite TR game. Very polished in many places, although a few places could have been tidier looking but can't grumble. I was surprised that the medi pak in the temple is now accessible, that was a nice touch. I wonder if it will be the same in TR3, with the medi pak in the hut on top of the quicksand? Would be a nice touch, One thing i don't like is the lack of background on the item screen, i much preferred the old wavy red background, but that is a minor criticism
Yeah, there were a lot of bugs apparently in the remastered version, but thankfully these are just minor. Aspyr has already announced that a major update is coming soon. Let’s just hope that this will be really good, and that they include the early builds that they removed from the Epic Games Version build. I hope they only removed that early build just to make fun of us, but actually bring it back in and add more things that were missing previously.

I completed the second part on hard difficulty, it was cool, the heals are all turned off, the enemies are three times stronger, on the level with the monks these comrades immediately attack you, and it doesn’t matter whether you hit them or not, so it was fun.
@@stevenPCGaming Yes, this is true, but in those places where they should be, they will be replaced with flyer cartridges (candles), so you need to be very careful, for example, the medicine will be removed before the big jump onto the boat, so you will need a large undergrowth anyway , you should save where possible on the latterIn missions, the enemies are very powerful, and a lot of healing is spent on them

Thank you. I only played on Tank Controls. But I believe the acclerate button is the same as your "Action" button. Speed up your boat and you can use that ramp to get to the Gate underneath the Tower as shortcut 😉
If you can believe it, I played these when they first came out! Played every TR game since then, plus all the ACs, Far Crys, Fallouts and so many more. You’d think I’d be a better gamer by now, lol.

At 4:36:34 how do you make Lara fall and run immediately? she always has a little getting up from her knees animation which trips me up in this sequence as the window is already very tight

Are you playing this on pc or a console I only ask cause I noticed that it looks like your using both modern and tank controls together without switching in the options menu? I can only use one or the other on console and I’m on modern so I can’t side step or slow step backwards like I’ve noticed your able to do in tank controls.
I am playing on PC and with tank controls. I am not quite sure if you're about to walk in modern controls. But sidesteps are possible. The only thing is you have to keep her drawing out the weapons to perfomr those actions 🥲
Now that Tomb Raider 1-3 remastered is out. I like the remastered versions better than the original. The game doesn’t randomly glitch out like in Angel Of Darkness.
Hold the action key before she drops, but let go of it before she grabs the edge of the floor where she drops from. That is helpful when it comes to performing some jumps or sequences 😃
I think it's because Peru levels are more like a training section. If you look carefully, you'll notice there are some unbalanced parts, especially enemy HP and weapon damage 😅

Never played the first 2 games , played annyversary so it kinda looks the same . but i got to finish tomb raider 3 & 4 those are my favorites . still prefer #3. Hope they do remaster revelation . i dont care about the rest lol.
They didn't draw that cool red carpet in the inventory! The atmosphere is still better in the original TR 2, everything is darker, more primitive and scary, here they also made some kind of bobtail cats from secret dragons), i also like Lara’s body proportions in the original better than in the remaster. The original is still better in the end.

I've watched you play TR1 and just watched you play TR2 (remastered) i wish it was the "original" version like the tr1 instead of remastered because i find the remastred versions a little dark in some places & not very clear, i mean you can't beat the original graphics🤗 having said that, i really enjoy watching you play you are AB FAB💯🤌👌 your not afraid of anything😂 your Amazing and you are the Real tombraider ( well after lara that is)🤭 you are the BEST❤ thank you

I think that among the levels of the original trilogy, the "Floating Islands", was the most unsettling and scary level, as this place looks like a demonic dimension, adding that the seemingly infinite chasm gives a dreadful trait to this place, without count the dark soundtrack that has mysterious and eerie whispers, like if this were the voices of the monsters in the background, making this a very terrifying level.
Yeah I truly wonder why they've changed the entire skybox and added such a big shiny moon. That doesn't fit the whole atmosphere and in some ways ruined it. 😢
@@stevenPCGaming Yeah. Without the moon, the "Floating Islands" looks scarier, as this gives this place a more esoteric environment, for lacked any feature of our world.

@@stevenPCGamingHaha, no, you're not the only one doing this on PC, but I was looking for PC 100% walkthroughs since the day it premiered and your videos were the 1st ones to pop up. Most of them are PS5. Also, other gamers I've found on here tend to skip secrets or kills or pickups. The way I understand "100%" is all enemies, all pickups, all secrets and all achievements. Yours is by far the closest to this definition. As far as my memory serves, the only thing missing about your walkthroughs are a few kills here and there, so.... I'd say this is as good as it gets. Brilliant work. 👌

Easily my favourite of the classic series, also the only one I've been able to complete on my own merits without the use of cheats. Also possibly where Lara starts to demonstrate her bloodlust, since she builds up a sizeable bodycount against the Femma Nera cult throughout. People say she was bloodthirsty in the rebooted trilogy, it all started here in my opinion. xD
The Opera House remains one of my favourite levels of all time: just this huge expanse you go back and forth across doing puzzles and getting key items and fighting enemies. Feels like the precursor to some of the level design in 3 and 4. (except some of those took it a bit too far in terms of figuring these things out on your own).

Fantastic walkthrough of the remastered version of my favourite TR game. Very polished in many places, although a few places could have been tidier looking but can't grumble. I was surprised that the medi pak in the temple is now accessible, that was a nice touch. I wonder if it will be the same in TR3, with the medi pak in the hut on top of the quicksand? Would be a nice touch, One thing i don't like is the lack of background on the item screen, i much preferred the old wavy red background, but that is a minor criticism

Yeah, there were a lot of bugs apparently in the remastered version, but thankfully these are just minor.
Aspyr has already announced that a major update is coming soon. Let’s just hope that this will be really good, and that they include the early builds that they removed from the Epic Games Version build.
I hope they only removed that early build just to make fun of us, but actually bring it back in and add more things that were missing previously.

I completed the second part on hard difficulty, it was cool, the heals are all turned off, the enemies are three times stronger, on the level with the monks these comrades immediately attack you, and it doesn’t matter whether you hit them or not, so it was fun.
Wait there's no any meds in NG+? I heard the details for being awarded with meds for finding all the secrets 😲?
@@stevenPCGaming Yes, this is true, but in those places where they should be, they will be replaced with flyer cartridges (candles), so you need to be very careful, for example, the medicine will be removed before the big jump onto the boat, so you will need a large undergrowth anyway , you should save where possible on the latterIn missions, the enemies are very powerful, and a lot of healing is spent on them

Currently doing a Pistol only while finishing under 6 hours so I'm taking any shortcut possible cause using pistols will be slowing me down. Your level completion times are seriously impressive will definitely be using some of your routes. 👍

Thank you. I only played on Tank Controls. But I believe the acclerate button is the same as your "Action" button. Speed up your boat and you can use that ramp to get to the Gate underneath the Tower as shortcut 😉

At 4:36:34 how do you make Lara fall and run immediately? she always has a little getting up from her knees animation which trips me up in this sequence as the window is already very tight

Are you playing this on pc or a console I only ask cause I noticed that it looks like your using both modern and tank controls together without switching in the options menu? I can only use one or the other on console and I’m on modern so I can’t side step or slow step backwards like I’ve noticed your able to do in tank controls.
I am playing on PC and with tank controls. I am not quite sure if you're about to walk in modern controls. But sidesteps are possible. The only thing is you have to keep her drawing out the weapons to perfomr those actions 🥲
Now that Tomb Raider 1-3 remastered is out. I like the remastered versions better than the original. The game doesn’t randomly glitch out like in Angel Of Darkness.
They only change the graphics mainly. As for the level designs. Perhaps they did but just little 🫠

Hold the action key before she drops, but let go of it before she grabs the edge of the floor where she drops from. That is helpful when it comes to performing some jumps or sequences 😃
When you do a backflip while climbing the stairs at 5:00:20, which button do you suddenly turn backwards? I could not find.

Playing the first levels of TR 1 and TR 2 In comparison is night and day in terms of difficulty and really makes the first game look like a cakewalk
I think it's because Peru levels are more like a training section. If you look carefully, you'll notice there are some unbalanced parts, especially enemy HP and weapon damage 😅

On PS1, that ladder is not funtional. Don't try to do that if you're not playing remastered version 😅

They didn't draw that cool red carpet in the inventory! The atmosphere is still better in the original TR 2, everything is darker, more primitive and scary, here they also made some kind of bobtail cats from secret dragons), i also like Lara’s body proportions in the original better than in the remaster. The original is still better in the end.
