Greetings Steven3517. I don't normally comment on youtube videos, but I have been watching your walkthroughs for Tomb Raider, particularly the Remastered, and being honest, it was like watching a movie. You knew when to draw your weapons and attack, and when to retract them; how to time and make crucial jumps effortlessly; when to use medi-packs etc. I am not a gamer, as I don't have the time, but when I do have time, I like to watch walkthroughs to know how the games are (storylines, gameplay, etc.). You have certainly made these games fun to watch. Thanks for your times and skills.
for the second secret at 5:05, you need to hold Action and forwards to grab the ledge, jumping won't make it :) Hope this helps (edit: i saw this only works with Tank controls. )
Wow Steven, I just saw some of your sweet videos, surveys for the community and that 25 year ol' post and...let me say: I love and respect all the effort and passion you put into the Crof world. I mean it because I'm (quite) an oooooold guy who played since the first entry on Saturn. And I need to express something I had in my head since the release of the remake. This thing has unlocked memories from my childhood like...in crazy terms. And ALL of them are good ones. From friends, family, school, vacations...I realized how deep the TR trilogy knocked some of us in the 90's. There's a gazillion of trivia attached too, magazines, demos, posters, etc. Everything rotating Lara's character. I was on tears, after the first couple hours, liying on the bed trying to get some sleep but this memoria kept me away from stop smiling like a kid. I hope the numbers go fine, possitive and big to Core, Crystal and Aspyr out there. They deserve it. Not only for the elder gen, wounded by nostalgia, or for putting at last a well PC executable. But for opening this beautiful maze world to the yungwavers. I can imagine some dad-son chat explaining something like ''yeah bud, you have to back jump exactly once before taking that jump forward. But, maybe that platform is too near, you'll hit too strong, and die''. Anyways, I had to get all this brick out of my chest. Thanks for reading & take care mate! And also to everyone who read this :D Can't wait to get the snowbike going under that techno ost moment XDD
No stamina, No ammo, No exclusives, No mini transactions, No DLC, No achievements, No weight and inventory management, No half an hour boring cutscenes, No propagandas Straight up fun. Thats how it is done. Thats how you build a community who wanna have fun.
Honestly, I miss playing games like this (Tomb Raider), fewer interruptions, less dialogue, fewer shootouts, just you, the game, and your mind at work, figuring things out.
Me and my brother never got very far on this when it first released back in the day, but perhaps this will be different now. But there's plenty I have forgotten since then, so it's back to the drawing board. Also, I appreciate how the text you have on screen for your edits matches the in-game text font and design used.
No matter what happens, keep the best memories you have with your brother. That's all that matters 😊 I did that merely wanted to help people track down the secrets 😆
Me nether i think it's difficult for a kid to figure out and know how to navigate everything and how to look around and figure out where to go. Tomb raider 2 is the most kid friendly i got through that several times.
*Thank you so much for the playthrough! An addition I like when I play on my Nintendo Switch, is the quick ability to tap a button to flip between the old and new graphics! It's awesome they did that, and see what they've done. Also thanks for posting all the secrets! Great video!! 😊❤❤*
the cistern is my favorite TR1 level, but you are so brave for not killing those alligators/crocodiles lol i remember when I played these games in my childhood, water enemies used to freak the heck out of me
Im shocked cause the cistern is probably my most hated between TR1 & Anniversary! Absolutely love palace of Midas. These remasters are absolutely incredible. Just shows you don’t need theatrical cutscenes and deep emotional story telling to make a good tomb raider. I hope they use this success for future games and steer away from current TR reboot and focus on simple Lara
Wow, I seem to have forgotten tons of this game. Probably the same with the other two games as well. This was a great guide, thanks for uploading. Looking forward to watching the other two as well.
Dear Crystal dynamics , we want tomb raider 4 and 5 , and tomb raider angel of darkness , legend and anniversary and underworld , to be remastered on ps4 and ps5 , thank you
@@adventureseeker9800 It's still a cool game but it's very clunky and unpolished. It's objectively "not a good game" but a lot of people enjoy it for other reasons
For anyone using this for all pickups as well, here are some of the missing items I was able to find: City of Khamoon 1) In the large room where you first find a crocodile, right below where you drop down to enter the room, there is a tunnel leading to a gate with an item in front. 2) After opening the 8 trapdoors to enter the area below the cat statue, before dropping into the area, there was item pickup to the left in a small cubby. 3) After pulling the lever to let light into the room with two black panthers, while facing the central column, there is a cubby on the far left of the ledge where you enter the room with another pickup Sanctuary of the Scion: 1) When you enter the water pit with the two sitting statues, the one on the right has one inside his right ear, or the one on the left if you are facing him. I first drained the water, so I’m not sure if that needs to happen first. You can use photo mode to find it. 2) There is a ledge between both statues with a pickup as well Haven’t finished the video yet, but I hope this helps someone!
OMG! Thankyou so much, I was losing my mind restarting the level over and over, going around and around in photo mode, I never would have found the one inside the ear!!
Tomb Raider Anniversary was my first TR game. My dad wanted me to play that because in his own words, the original's controls didn't age well. But now I'm playing these remasters and honestly the tank controls are way better than the "modern" scheme. It feels better for some reason and even though the Legend trilogy was my intro to the series, I'm enjoying the originals even more *because* they're so much more challenging. It took a lot of practice but it feels more rewarding to make progress.
I played this as a kid but never got past the 2nd or 3rd level, it was too hard for me. Now I finally played it fully and your video really helped me find all the secrets. Even found some skips along the way. Looking forward your other videos when I am finally playing 2 & 3 :)
Great video!! I'm on Atlantis and 100% completion with all pickups and secrets. But there's one unobtainable item in that level that I cannot get the collect every item in 1 play through trophy. But I heard the developers are on it for a fix so it's better to do a backup save file. Until they fix it so I could reload that section and get it. So annoying😂😂
No, there are indeed 3 unobtainable pickups. 2 big meds and 1 uzis ammo. That's already written in the script of TR1. So I am not certain if they'd fix it unless they have to modified the level data 😄
@stevenPCGaming Really? Hmm because the data statistics when i beat that level showed 51 items and I got 50 out of the 51. The last one was in Room 40, which is the uzi clips behind the wall.
Back in the 90s, I was stuck at Midas's Palace, and I rage quit Tomb Raider. Running around the level on a crappy PC with all that pixelation on low framerates was straining my eyes and that was enough for me. Now I got the remaster with a fast gaming PC. Look at me now.
im 35 years old and got the remastered for my switch cause i never played them when i was younger. they were too scary for my young weak nerves. great games so far ❤️
I don't wanna hear any history revisionists try and gaslight us into thinking these games aren't that difficult, and it's just modern gamers suck or something. These games were difficult as shit back then; they're just as difficult as shit now. And I love 'em.
I'm actually finding them a breeze now playing them properly now i'm older, i'm trying to look around myself and figure out where to go and it's more fun because a trap or something will make me jump not seeing it coming lol but sadly i need a walkthrough most of the time. They need to get on difficulty settings asap because the enemy is way too easy to kill in tomb raider 1 and no doubt in tomb raider 2 as well, it needs to be more challenging.
Well, it's been a looooonnnng time since I've played this (after playing the original PS1 version many, manyu times) and I'm surprised to see how much of it I still remember! I think I might have to pick up the remaster.
5 more levels to complete and learn now and it went by quick thanks to this walkthrough😊TR1 isn't that hard to learn really it's just the secrets and a couple areas that you always forget. Btw at 2:37:34 you missed a pickup on the floor some magnum clips turn left after you run in. To anyone don't miss a Med Pack at 2:51:59 as you run up the brown steps it's easy to miss because it blends in with the steps i saw it right away because items are easier to see now after updates.
I forgot how badly timed the music was sometimes. 😄 Level 1: Two or even just one wolf - dramatical music! Level 2: Right at the beginning four wolves. Nothing. :D
This first game was my favourite out of the early Tomb Raider games. Tomb Raider 2 and 3 were much harder. Too difficult for my skill level and they took me an age to complete.
Nothing ever beats playing TR1 in the first 3DFX patches when they came out, Dungeon Keeper as well. Of course on an iiyama diamond trinitron CRT. Those were good days indeed
4:20:28 - The Back-Flip you have to do on the slope can ONLY be done with Tank Controls. To flip using Modern Controls you need guns drawn, but you'll end up in the lava by the time they're drawn. Appreciate the effort of them including Modern controls, but given how broken they are Tank Controls are a necessity.
I'm not at this point yet, but every time she is in on of those sliding stones, she will backflip automatically using modern controls. I believe they've fixed it.
Sooon excited for this game! I'll b playing it as soon as we get some bills squared away! ❤ missed ya Stephen. I've been busy unfortunately. But good to c u at it still. I'll b looking to your game plays as guides for parts my memory gets rusty on if I get stuck. :)
This is pretty cool, just beat this game, am a huge fan of the tomb raider franchise, TR 2 was the very first TR game i played on a demo back then, got addicted to it instantly and played all. I hope they re-release Tomb Raider 1 anniversary on the PS store, loved that one as well, with her grappling rope, i thought that was cool.
I love the older original Tomb Raider games, how they just throw you in some random place, nothing on the screen besides maybe your health bar, and you have to figure out what the hell you are supposed to do lol. You really felt immersed like you were exploring ancient tombs. The newer games dont really give you that feeling, it feels more linear and straight forward, because it tells you on screen what to do, what you can grab, do this action, and all that. Anyone else know what I'm trying to say?
Yeah i was born at the start of the 90s so i've seen the whole decade and it actually made you do the work back then with lots of things and everything was so creative it was great.
24:20 To consider that the Lost Valley is an exposed environment, than an enclosed place, i wonder how no one found it yet, through airships in Peru? As i guess that the dinosaurs could brings a lot turism for this region.
Two really annoying things about this Remaster.... 1 Accidentally loading a previous save instead of saving which means have to redo the bit that should have been saved 2 Being killed very easily because health is depleted very very quickly by enemies which means again having to redo parts......very annoying. The main issue though is accidently loading instead of saving.....a lot of people are doing it.
I'm in Natla's tomb already. I have found two glitches in the game where there was two panthers that didn't move n the uzi guns where on a invisible platform in sanctuary of the scion. All in all the game is still awesome
Lara Croft... The only woman in history, who can survive in minus weather conditions, wearing just a pair of shorts and a belly top... Never mind that it's like -20 outside. I must admit that being able to swap between the original PSX graphics and the remastered version, is a particularly nice touch.
@2546 Honestly, I forgot all about C&C, which is a pity really, because I spent months playing C&C when it first came out. When I say 'first came out', I mean like the Win 95 edition, the very first C&C.
Such a satisfying ending. Much better than the garbage I’m assigned to read in my English class. This is a masterpiece of Art surprassing Hemingway and Shakespeare. Awesome walkthrough.
Lol 😂 I don't see any connections between these two hahhaha 😂. But still, learning English is fun. Just depends on how you learn it in a more satisfying method 😂
@@stevenPCGaming English class as English literature: 1984, Macbeth, Sound and Fury. I asked my professor to assign video games but he shot the idea down. I think Tomb Raider is a masterpiece of Art.

My favourite TR Player !! You're the best man ! ❤
haha thank you 😄
For whatever reason, if you do a swan dive in the Thor room, you'll never be electrocuted. There's even an achievement for it!
Thanks for the tip. That'd come in the handy 😄
You really should. Playing the remasteres not just give you a whole new vibes but also bring back the nostalgic experience 😄
Level 1: Two or even just one wolf - dramatical music! Level 2: Right at the beginning four wolves. Nothing. :D
hahhaha true 🤣CORE definitely was trying to experiment the whole atmostphere 🤣
Thank you so much! I hope you do a TR2 and 3 soon! 😁
We'll see 😄
Amazing! Thank you! 🎉
Glad you like it 😄
This first game was my favourite out of the early Tomb Raider games. Tomb Raider 2 and 3 were much harder. Too difficult for my skill level and they took me an age to complete.
The difficulty in TR2 isn't that serious. The worst is TR3... I hate those multiple routes throughout levels 😭
Like always say you are the best I really enjoyed it❤
Thank you so much 😀
Finally, a PC 100% walkthrough. Thank you! Please tell me you're planning on doing TR2, TR3 and The Lost Artifact as well.
Yes I am 😄I just finished TR2. It's taking too long to finish the whole process 😭
Nothing ever beats playing TR1 in the first 3DFX patches when they came out, Dungeon Keeper as well. Of course on an iiyama diamond trinitron CRT. Those were good days indeed
Wow! It looks perfect!
I could never play with the music on. this scares the shit out of me. ptsd from anniversary. :D
LOL. Don't make this as a horror game 🤣
Thanks bro really Useful!!!
Wow, nice Video, thx😊
Glad you liked it 😁
Great video, very helpful!! xx
Thank you 🙏☺️
4:20:28 - The Back-Flip you have to do on the slope can ONLY be done with Tank Controls.
It's okay. Hope your plate can be clear and get some rest soon 😄
Smooth playing using tank controls ^^ BTW is it me of Lara recovers a little bit faster after every move comparing to the original?
I think so. Some of my friends even noticed Lara cannot stay in the water longer than in Original 🤔
The first time I played this, back in the day, I spent about an hour trying to figure out how to open those giant doors right at the beginning!
You’re the best even on repeat you are the best❤🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thank you Angela 😄
👏👏👏 Tomb raider 2 next 😊
It's on the way 😆
I love the older original Tomb Raider games, how they just throw you in some random place, nothing on the screen besides maybe your health bar, and you have to figure out what the hell you are supposed to do lol.
Nagyon szépen köszönöm a végigjátszásodat, sokat segítettél.
Brilliant well done thumbs up great job
Thank you 😄
Thank you for the help!
Happy to help 😄
Is it me, or is this remaster of the original miles better than the reimagined anniversary edition?
In case someone wonders, the doppelganger is at 4:06:55
24:20
To consider that the Lost Valley is an exposed environment, than an enclosed place, i wonder how no one found it yet, through airships in Peru?
As i guess that the dinosaurs could brings a lot turism for this region.
Perhaps most flight paths don't go through this place. And if so, the lost valley is only a small part of the iceberg 😂
@@stevenPCGaming Good point XD
Og tomb raider levels never really made sense
This is a real Tomb Raider..
What they pulled out in the recent years can't be really considered as Tomb Raider...
Reboot TR games are more like another game franchise with the name "Tomb raider" 🤣
Freaking love this compilation so far (currently playing TRIII after 100% TR 1 and 2)
You just can't beat the atmosphere and immersion of the original games.
Two really annoying things about this Remaster....
1 Accidentally loading a previous save instead of saving which means have to redo the bit that should have been saved
2 Being killed very easily because health is depleted very very quickly by enemies which means again having to redo parts......very annoying. The main issue though is accidently loading instead of saving.....a lot of people are doing it.
3:06:50
WOW, i wasnt expecting that
haha that's one of the most interesting secrets ever placed ! 🤣
This is what you call smooth gaming
Thank you 😊
Just having problems with the level in the colosseum onwards😁😁😁
@gerurodorigesu188 That level can be a little bit confusing 😅
@@stevenPCGaming thanks😁!
To clarify, the times that he is looking around is just to take in the new graphics, correct? I want to be sure im not missing anything haha
Yup, I was. Just to appreciate the new graphics 🤣
@@stevenPCGaming they're really nice graphics! Thanks for the clarification and thanks for the video- super helpful! (Also- you're really good 😂)
Vielen Dank für dein Clip
Gern geschehen! ☺️
Why on city of Khamoon you only have 21/24 pickups? I’m curious as to where the other 3 are?
The stats may glitch and show 3 less pick ups even if you found them all.
A true PlayStation classic. The eeire sound effects and music are unmatched by todays games.
I'm in Natla's tomb already. I have found two glitches in the game where there was two panthers that didn't move n the uzi guns where on a invisible platform in sanctuary of the scion. All in all the game is still awesome
That Uzis placed on the invisible platform as a secret is always like that. Even in original. That's not a glitch or bug 🫠
Lara Croft... The only woman in history, who can survive in minus weather conditions, wearing just a pair of shorts and a belly top... Never mind that it's like -20 outside. I must admit that being able to swap between the original PSX graphics and the remastered version, is a particularly nice touch.
Alot of old remasters do this. Command and conquer I remember did it
@2546 Honestly, I forgot all about C&C, which is a pity really, because I spent months playing C&C when it first came out. When I say 'first came out', I mean like the Win 95 edition, the very first C&C.
Great gameplay ❤
Thank you 😄
A looooot of work my master!
Thanks for a great guide. Keep on looking up too - skylight man!😁
Thank you so much man 😄
58:36 this room isn't open for me, though i did exactly the same things up to this point.
Is it timed from when we pull the lever underwater or something?
Nope, stand on the iron plate at 58:14 to open the door 😉 it's timed indeed
@@stevenPCGaming ahhhhh, makes sense now - awesome, thanks for the quick reply too mate
@@geroffmilan3328 no problem 😉 Happy Raiding
@@stevenPCGaming cheers - seems I'm out of luck, tho: hitting the plate doesn't seem to be opening the door again somehow.
Oh well.
@@geroffmilan3328that's odd. Or maybe it's already opened? Just the door doesn't open for a long time. Can be a bit challenging, though 😅
That silver key in chapter 2.... spent a really long time searching everywhere till I saw this video lol
Don't worry. Those rusty keys in Level 8 will drive you crazy. Too small to notice 🤣
Cannot watch it I'm at the Cistern 😅 and I want to check how many secrets I can remember from memory alone ! BRB after I 100% it 😉 I watched your stream for just a moment you were at the part with your atlantean double lol
It is real Art master Steven, Amazing!
Thank you 😉
I'm at natlas mines. God its such a strange level
I do really like the atmosphere of the volcanic area in that level 😆
