It was bad back then and is now. 3:37:53 these awful animations ruined gameplay. Controls were awful, combat system - go straight and shoot. Plot, locations, enemies were boring. The only thing which was kinda impressive - intro chapter. I wrote 'kinda', because you can leave Lara for hours among flames and nothing happens, stupid.

I really loved this one, such massive areas that were fun to explore, the Sth. America area was impressive, the entire area is a puzzle, like TR was at first.
At 2:45 point, I found the ideas for gameplay started to lose steam. All items were in plain site, nearby, there was no thought involved to find anything. The areas were still big & offered plenty except it was in the dark. It had so many clever ideas in area design.
The Arctic underwater area was so massive & confusing with great sound effects of ice. I spent hours in this area.
I haven’t played this one in years, I don’t know how I stayed up late or even all night then have to go to work with tired eyes. I can’t do that now, although games have stagnated in the last decade, sadly. Hopefully with the remastered old PSone classics, it just might inspire some companies to take a chance on some new, unique ideas. I’d love to have the game variety of 90’s designers, now I’m half retired..
As long as bloody “woke” politics stays out of the gaming industry! My Dog, who cares about gender or race of characters, It’s the enjoyment of playing it that counts.

There isnt any reasons for game developers to cap their game's resolution.
Even then it can easily be chaned, with some tinkering in the game files.
