@@Neromace Unless you use really puffy soil, or its a tiny jar/tank, the substrate will fall into the drainage layer rendering it useless and they will too much water around the soil. So you should always use a mesh to keep things alive.
I love your channel. You inspired me to make my very first terrarium! I learned what plants to use, that you need a drainage layer, what moss to use and that springtails clean and help the terrarium. I really like how you explain every step in your videos. Good day when you upload.👍🏻
I just love your work..I started making terrariums only by watching your videos..Truly amazing..love the way you explain each step..very creative..Keep up the good work!!👏🏻👏🏻
I'm Very sorry for the first terrarium, But this one will avenge it with it's variety of plants and overall Beauty. I'd love to see you make a Cave Terrarium, where you make a cave with lavarock, and plant plants all around and the much lush ones in the back. it would make a great hope for Springtails and isopods! Maybe in the next video..?😁😁
I don't know the exact species, but i think the plant that sprouted in the tank is a type of climbing fern. Some climbing ferns can grow low and bushy, while others can be long, and climb on hardscapes!
Hey, that mysterie plant is a kind of fern I think I have a terrarium were I just placed moss in and I used normal potting soil, after a year of making it a plant that looks simelar to yours sprouted out of nowhere and now it has got more leaves and I can confirm it's a fern spiecies👍
I have made some very simple terrariums but the moss dies sooner or later. I believe the problem is that im not using led lights but indirect sunlight which maybe is not enough. Can you make a video about the lights please? Is it necessary to use LED lights or will a common bulb so the job? Also, how many lumens do you need for the moss to grow?
The Boston and Asparagus ferns I've seen are HUGE. Does putting them in a terrarium prevent them from growing so massive? Or do you have to trim them to keep them small?
I like how you say "this is spider wood and think it would be a great choice for _this_ scape" as if it's not the same thing you use in literally *every* scape 😂
( vivarium idea ) make a big and when i say big i mean a BIG tank thats idk say like 75 - 125 gallons big and make it have rain storms apex predators prey and more but have all of them be no bigger or the same size as a bearded dragon this could mean you can make a desert tank a jungle tank an island tank just make it have disasters to be a small ecosystem ( and also for terrariums does plastic containers work )
I fucking love all of your terrarium building ! Yo sir, In Brazil spider wood is extremely expensive, could you please indicate another one that can replace it?

How do you make it so foggy

Comments like this make my day! Glad I could help & hope your terrarium is growing well😃
This is what i was searching for. I'm planning to make my own from an unused aquarium.
Another beautiful terrarium, my personal favorite from your channel! 😁
Thank you!

simply wow! This is by far my favorite Terrarium! Absolutely love the sense of depth on this one, I will definitely use it on my first terrarium.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it😃
These videos are so fun to watch it go from a box to a smol jungle.
I really enjoy watching your videos while doing chores, it makes everything go much quicker, love your videos and hoping for more soon! :D
Love to hear this! Glad you’re enjoying the content & thank you for watching😃
I already made two terrariums because of you!
That’s great to hear!
I guess it is a small fern :D Amazing!
Hope you enjoy the video!:)
I love your videos...very interesting
Top work as allways. I have the ferns you used. N they do look cool
Thanks! Yes they are beautiful😃
Good day when terrarium designs uploads
Agreed
Thank you!!😃

What caused the fog? Just the high humidity? Looks so sick!

i have the same tank but i made it into a nano reef
Nice! I’d love to do that one day:)
Can you make one mega build like 2ft or 3ft terrarium? It would be great
Definitely something I’d love to do in the future!
Beautiful!
Thank you!

LEDs do work great but you can even use something like a low wattage desk lamp. I’ll be sure to make a video on the topic:)
Can I use aqua soil instead of the mix you use or outdoor plant soil fertilizer?
Yes aqua soil is a great alternative:)
Beautiful! Where do you get the springtails?
Does a terarium need to be air tight or can it have air holes?
How did you get the fog?
I think this terrarium look better than your old one
Thanks! Glad you like it😃
3rd comment! ❤
could you make a new paludarium build?
Made one that’s drops next weekend:)
Where did you get the lid
yay second comment! whats ur favorite terrarium plant?
That’s a tough question! One of my all time favourites has got to be ficus quercifolia(oak leaf creeping fig). How about you!?
@@TerrariumDesigns same here lol mabye string of turtles
Great choices😃
The Boston and Asparagus ferns I've seen are HUGE. Does putting them in a terrarium prevent them from growing so massive? Or do you have to trim them to keep them small?
You trim sigma
Nice channel. But the fern is not a Boston, it's a Nephrolepis Fluffy Ruffles 👍
What can you use in the UK instead of “door screen mesh”? ……
I like how you say "this is spider wood and think it would be a great choice for _this_ scape" as if it's not the same thing you use in literally *every* scape 😂
I love thissss
is the charcoal used activated or just normal charcoal?
that's great , can you show me how to make the tree live so long ? thank you 1

Yo sir, In Brazil spider wood is extremely expensive, could you please indicate another one that can replace it?
Thank you! Drift wood is sometimes cheaper & still looks great!
May i ask what you use to film it? So close and steady but it doesnt look that close
I filmed this one with my IPhone😃
What is the size of the aquarium?
hi sir, can you give me the link to buy the top lid for this tank?
Hi. Does the lid come with the cube tank plz ?
It doesn’t but I just used some glass from a picture frame so it was very cost effective:)
@@TerrariumDesigns Good idea, Thanku
@@TerrariumDesigns awesome! Love your videos! The lid is sealed or simply placed on top of the terrarium? Thanks
Thank you! It’s just placed onto😃
is it ok if the terrarium is not covered?
how do you catch spring tails
They are often sold in reptile/amphibian shops but you can also get them online:)
How u add the mist for that?😮
Why don't you try some aquascapes
