This makes me sad. I don’t think people understand the man hours required to attempt to take these dreads down. This is VERY tedious labor, indeed. Most unenjoyable for the impatient person, especially for a child. However, good work.
From then to now, her whole perimeter is markedly thinner. She lost them already thinning edges. I wish they would have shown that amount, because it’s something to really be considered if you choose to get the ‘permanent’ dreads. It wasn’t all perfection, though the outcomes’ overall appearance to be.

Very healthy hair
These aren't dreads, they look more like braids that's been sitting to long. You can't "unloop" dreads.
You do know you can loc your hair using braids as a starter? So even if it is braids they eventually will loc up. Just the process will look different then the normal way.

I can see a lot of people using this interlock extension method to start permanent locs, using human hair. If they want to loc with the synthetic (like this), they can leave it in til the natural loc grows out the cut the extension.

You can see that these locs were started from braids, so it's easier.
Removing this hair is such a journey. I would of wash and reloc it again and keep that in for at least a year until my natural dreads are form from this method. 😅😅😅 this is so much work to remove OMG, time consuming

So you have to pay someone to take them down or have a friend do it because it takes precision. Like a sister said in a previous post, "Ain't nobody got time or money for dat!". It looked beautiful though, but not at the cost of my natural hair.
