Before you adjust the TPS, you need to confirm, the IACV is working properly. Mine had a high idle issue for a long time because i thought i couldn't adjust airflow anymore. After dismantling the IACV completely, it turns out the idle air screw was just clogged. Remove your screw completely and then put it back in. Idle adjustment will be a breeze after. TPS is easier after that. Best of luck.
That is inaccurate sir. Adjusting your TPS has nothing to do with the IACV and it is done with the car not running. The TPS sensor is a potentiometer that sends out a voltage signal that is relative to the position of the butterfly valve in the throttle body. The farther you turn the throttle the higher the voltage reading. When I set this TPS it was set properly. My idle was still high indicating the issue is in another area
My high idle issue was actually a combination of a vacuum leak in my Y-pipe on the intake, corrosion on my Fast idle controller, and improperly adjusted butterfly valves.
I had to clean my IAC and FIC then everything worked properly. I need to do the same thing on the TT so when I get time I'm going to make another video about it. It seems to be a common problem with these motors
I’m having similar issues on my tt, how hard was it to clean out the IAC? In the same boat as you, none of my friends are really into cars so I just have to try and figure it all out from RUclips
Hey man, I found this interesting as I am struggling with the same problem, at the Grey oval plug, I cannot set it higher than 0.38v at closed throttle because then I don't have continuity on my idle circuit, at full throttle it read 4.18v. Is it a problem if my tps cannot function between 0.4v and 0.5v at idle?? I am now not sure if I need to replace it or not.. The car is old but millage is very low..
Seems like i have same problem with clogged idle air control valve.. Did u remove it for cleaning? Or u tried to do it without removal? Its so old around i don’t want to disturb it ))))

Nice video, what did u ever figure out with the idle issue??or was it o2 problem

No that shouldn't be a problem. It seems to be functioning from what your saying. The actual voltage can vary some between cars.
At least I don't believe so. I don't have the car anymore unfortunately

I believe you have to remove it to clean it
It is so sad to understand it)
I had the same problem! Air regulator was at fault. The z32 has two air regulator for each bank.hope this help some.
Are you sure your not talking about the idle air controller and the swirl valve? As far as I know there is only 1 air regulator.
Hey, my is bad, it shuts off after it warms up.
Huh that's weird. If there is no voltage you may have another issue.
@@loluracing it starts to idler up and down, then it shuts off.
