The FOV, the slugishness of the camera, the chunky, *HOUGH OUHG* grunts that sound straight out of half life, the color palette sampled out of a rusted microwave oven covered in avocado......
I kind of miss this.
Maybe not the color palette, but there's a mesmerizing feeling I get whenever I look at gameplay footage of mid-2000's fps games. They look... homely? Almost like you are, indeed, having a nice time on the couch, and for a fact like you still have your gaming time *in a couch*. Y'know, like back when you had space in your living room for the console, and didnt live in a stuffed apartment. Back when you weren't in a hurry to do everything, so the slow pace of it was welcoming. When you could play these matches without a headset strapped to your head for 4 hours, because you didnt have to be afraid of bothering anyone.
I feel this is what we go back to these games for. We dont really want to come back to the crusty graphics, or the rather quaint game design, and certaintly not the color palette. We want to go back to that couch, and if the couch is gone, at least refresh the memories of it.

Oh no I've seen this happen once before. Everyone starts getting disconnected one by one. I wonder what causes this
