Doe factories didn't come up? How many people talked about all their food being eaten to the dirt? And the most common answer was plant more corn beans alfalfa (summer food).. wouldn't planting more fall greens be more effective.. and feed less does all summer?
If that works for you, do it! I still have food in my spring-planted plots right now and its mid March!
