I’ve used mechanicals and I stopped. I see so many pros that use and promote them and I see a lots of shallow penetration and no pass through. Since ive switched back to fixed broadheads I always get pass through. To each their own but im never going back to mechanicals. Have fun and shoot straight. Cheers

Finished the podcast really good! Al Foster brought up a Great point. One thing that Really impresses me about Don is I have Never heard anyone ask him a question legitimate hunting related question that he didn’t have a good intelligent answer for. Don you are the real deal, and you know what you’re talking about.

Al Foster was one of my deer hunting idols in the '80s. I still have many of the articles that he wrote for NAW. I finally got to meet him at Don's, and we discussed some of those articles that he wrote nearly 40-years ago. It was a true blessing. Al's good people. Thanks for the great information and podcast.

I am sure Joe Miles is a good guy, and Hunter. I could care less what a person chooses to hunt with, if they’re happy with it Great! However mechanical broadheads are…..mechanical! They can and will fail ( fail to deploy or open in flight etc.) I have hunted for 36 years obviously mechanicals weren’t around when I started, but I have yet to see a mechanical penetrate as well as a fixed blade broadhead!? This is very important to me as I always want an exit hole. I have literally tracked 100’s of deer, and an exit hole is critical. I settled this debate for myself about 22 years ago when I shot a 130” buck in Ohio in the rib cage, but didn’t get a pass through. Matter of fact didn’t even penetrate the hide on off side. 100 grain spitfire. I did recover the deer. This should be an easy debate for Don to win. When mechanicals work they produce big blood trails, when they don’t you lose deer. Why take the chance? Especially if you’re going to shoot a giant?

Please let us know when Asio Gear will be manufactured in the US. We do not want to buy the Communist China or other eastern slave labor made versions of it.

Agreed, not buying hunting clothes made in China.

Way overpriced anyways. Look up dan infalt. He has killed giants on film on public land hunting in flannel shirts.

Not sure where the poor economy is occurring, first I've heard that. It's absolutely booming unless someone is a total lazy ass.
