he was all excited and happy at the end....until she mentions his Jeep....."ohhhh, yea" :( awesome times and thanks for taking us along. I loved all of Monty's energy and playfulness at the end in the tent. Thanks for not trying to edit all that out....thanks for keeping it real and good luck with the Jeep issue.
I love the comment thread on this video... Male viewer- ‘I had the same issue with my Rubicon a few years back...’ Female viewer- ‘You two are such a cute couple...’
HAHAHA not at our house, my Jennifer is yelling at you riding the bumper "its the driveshaft!" Then she is all "well no wonder, he still has that POS stock one." Then she lost it when you said you needed a shop. "Field fix that sh*t!" My Jenns a bit of a potty mouth too. Actually she said don't waste your time replacing the stock one with another stock shaft because you cant fix it. Get an after market so next time you can just change the u joints and center yokes as they wear. And you can grease them. Tips straight from Jenn the Toad.
Guys i am watching all your episodes from the beginning one as i am writing. Very well done to all three of you. I noticed that your windows are not insulated for this weather. In an episode you had put insulation around your roof top tent. Same material can be cut in size and cover the windows. It will make a big difference. If you have concerns about security so you want to see outside during the night then cut to size bubble wrap. It works great and Is cheap as well. You will see a big difference. Once again very well done to all of you.
Another inspiring video. Very enjoyable. I'm about one year away from doing what you two do, but on less rustic terrain. Hey, it's a start. Overlanding is in my retirement plans. Hope to see you out there sometime.
The best advice I've learned from watching informative overlanding videos is to not wait for perfect rig, etc.. Just plan the best you can, narrow the equipment focus and then start with the rig you have. Thankfully, the plans are coming together and with narrower focus comes more clarity.
Good stuff guys. Jen...you need to wash out your little f-ing potty mouth with soap...or wine. I look forward to following your adventures every week. Happy Trails.
FYI: Teralflex sells a Rzeppa kit to help avoid that driveline issue in the future, just installed the kit on my brothers' Jeep JK and it has took alot of slop out of the front driveshaft.
It sounds almost exactly like the drive shaft. My buddy and I are replacing the exact same one tomorrow morning in Salt Lake City. I personally recommend Tom woods drive shafts in Salt Lake City. Low profile, super strong, and amazing. And for the record, my deodorant is Old Spice “Wolfthorn” which smells a little fruity. Very masculine.
so many great clips. but the best was 8:14 ish to 8:33 ish. Riders on the (dust) storm. Don't forget to clean your air filters. preferably not while hanging on the bumper while in motion and craving comfort food!
Women food: green stuff, puts all kinds of vegetables on sandwich. Man food: jam sandwich - jams a piece of meat between two slices of bread, done. I love watching Monty. He funny.
I think they are just friends as in his latest adventures he has a different lady with him now and i think they are in a relationship but would be nice if they could all meet up for an episode as i miss Jenn and Monty they are awesome
I can’t wrap my head around that you two aren’t a couple!? I don’t get it...you seem so connected and you see the way you look at each other and the body language .....just my observation from watching all the videos.
Could be the drive shaft as it looks like it is worn out. I would go with Tom Woods replacements, expensive? yes, most reliable? also yes(paint them properly before installing). The non-serviceable axle shaft u-joints will fail eventually, once the seals fail water will get in there and no more grease don't confuse "water" with "I never ford any water so water will never get in there". Needle bearings will be dry and will rust, eventually spinning a cap(will damage the yoke) or grinding the needle bearings into dust(that's when you have slop in the shafts=u-joint has been dead for a long time). either go full blown don't want problems every again RCV or get the standard spicer u joints that you can grease. It might be worth while to carry a spare driveshaft u-joint and axle shaft u-joint incase you get stuck somewhere but you'd also need to know how to replace them(it's dirty but man Is it fun fixing stuff when your in a pinch)
Thanks, Jimmy! I did consider doing that very thing. The boot around the CV joint is definitely shot, which all but confirms that's the issue. Getting it sorted early next week.
Us too! We are visiting with a friend of mine who lives close to the trail head... may not be able to drive it, but for sure going to check out the scene! Today alone was entraining watching people hop the snow bank to access the staging area...
It's a "Travel Chair" folding table and we don't really recommend it, very hard to cut veggies as it wobbles, but it's something like this in design: www.rei.com/product/765280/rei-co-op-camp-roll-table
Been following you 2 for some time and really love your videos-story-adventures. I'm a dog trainer that really wants to do what you're doing with my lab, Keeper - if you have any questions about dog behavior - although watching Monty - I doubt it, but just ask anyway. Glad to share info/experience of 30+yrs. Jim Burwell, dog trainer - you can Google me "Jim Burwell dog trainer.....Keep up the great work - what you do is so real ....
So... funny thing about that, we were expecting this "dome" till be realized we were on TOP of it! This was quite the experience, check out this very short read: volcanoes.usgs.gov/…/l…/long_valley_sub_page_19.html

That's all you need, is a start! Happy planing and plotting till the time comes to go!

100% right on, had I waited till I had it "perfect" I never would have left Vermont. Stay in-touch as your story unfolds!
Good stuff guys. Jen...you need to wash out your little f-ing potty mouth with soap...or wine. I look forward to following your adventures every week. Happy Trails.
I do! My goodness my father would have my head! ;)
Hoping you come out I'm sure we could get a bunch together. In Big Bear or Arrowhead! In fact there is a meet soon up here.!!
FYI: Teralflex sells a Rzeppa kit to help avoid that driveline issue in the future, just installed the kit on my brothers' Jeep JK and it has took alot of slop out of the front driveshaft.
Taxes bummer
Here in the UK where i live you have to pay council tax even if you only rent an apartment, its not cheap either around $800 dollars US a year.

Jeremy McLerran it’s called Sex Panther. It has real bits of panther it.
Awesome vid!
OMGoodness you two are such a cute couple. You need to keep her around before someone else scoops her up as a keeper

Oh but what fun would that be!?! *teasing* We are tackling maintenance on both rigs over the next two weeks - my air filter... ugh LOL
Another great video. I hope you enjoy the California weather. You should try and make it out to the coast there are some good trails our that way.
Would love too! I've never been to the coast of California - thank you!
Women food: green stuff, puts all kinds of vegetables on sandwich.
Man food: jam sandwich - jams a piece of meat between two slices of bread, done.
I love watching Monty. He funny.
Well that was fun..... I'm glad I have cats. That sound sounds like the Trans... sorry Hurd it before.
If your in Arizona you can have my driveshaft. It's almost new, It was replaced when I put my Mopar lift kit on.
Love your videos. Greetings from Gunma, Japan. Initial D country, if you know your anime.
What happened with you and Jen?
I think they are just friends as in his latest adventures he has a different lady with him now and i think they are in a relationship but would be nice if they could all meet up for an episode as i miss Jenn and Monty they are awesome
Someone has probly asked this but what are you using to hold your ipad and phone?
I can’t wrap my head around that you two aren’t a couple!? I don’t get it...you seem so connected and you see the way you look at each other and the body language .....just my observation from watching all the videos.
Very good

Adam's makes better driveshafts
😎👍
Picture perfect
Chris, how do you know when it's time to go and explore like you ?
From Chris, "Man... you kinda feel it in your soul, an opportunity comes up, a calling."
@@JenniferLangille Spot on
I don't know if it's been suggested already but you could try and setup a GoPro to record that area and review the footage.
Thanks, Jimmy! I did consider doing that very thing. The boot around the CV joint is definitely shot, which all but confirms that's the issue. Getting it sorted early next week.
Can I borrow a couple cups of Monty's energy?
Would you like to puppy-sit!?! ;) Believe it or not, he actually settles in/down (thankfully).
at 15:15 Monty is like "let's Go!"
I watch DrenalineAdventures, and Scott has two Viszlas. They are crazy athletic and energetic a breed, it seems.
Since you'll be in the area, you have to go to the Rubicon Trail! Hope your Jeep issue is an easy and cheaper repair!
Us too! We are visiting with a friend of mine who lives close to the trail head... may not be able to drive it, but for sure going to check out the scene! Today alone was entraining watching people hop the snow bank to access the staging area...
Jenn...potty mouth...don't change.....express thy self...laugh on....stay safe u 2
hey chris great channel..what's the name brand of your foldable table tnx man.safe travels...

hey chris what kind of jackson kayak is yours? tnx
The clicking noise is at the speed of the driveshaft and not the wheels. I’m betting you could replicate it in 4 wheel high as well.
Vegetarian food, I'm not a fan. I'm a second hand vegetarian lol. As granny Clara Peller used to say "where's the Beef?
I miss seeing Jenn and Monty in your vids Chris , hope they are both ok xxx
driveshaft boot?
I will never understand why people procrastinate to the last moment to do taxes
I agree! ;) Wasn't planned... eek! LOL
Jeep Jamboree in Big Bear Ca. May 3-5.
Why does she do all the cooking?

Taxes!!! I bet your mileage deduction is massive. Lol.

"It's masculine."
Chris is so awkward around Jen.I think someone is in love
;)
Rich someone needed to say it. Sounds crude but...?
What kind of boxes does Jen have on her Jeep?
No pics of Obsidian Dome, what's up with that? Hike there and don't show us!
So... funny thing about that, we were expecting this "dome" till be realized we were on TOP of it! This was quite the experience, check out this very short read: volcanoes.usgs.gov/…/l…/long_valley_sub_page_19.html
Ohh. You're using a spoon as a knife.
Yea.
Get out of my Jeep

Stop handling every vegetable to find the biggest. More for your money isn't more for everyone else. Eyeballing it works good.
