- Today, we're going to discuss the Arab world, Arab people, and just why the Arab countries of Asia and Africa seem so divided, along with a small glimpse into the history of pan-Arab nationalism, and what the world would look like if Arabia was a single country.
I realize a lot of people might be averse to using the term "Arab" to describe someone's ethnicity, thinking that it is equivalent to a slur of some kind (in the same way that the term "Jew" can be used in a derogatory manner) but it is an accurate and inoffensive term to the vast majority of people as long as it is used in a professional way.
Be sure to let me know your thoughts on Arabs, Arab countries, and Nasser's dream of a united Arab Federation from coast to coast. Do you think it's realistic? Unrealistic? A positive move? Negative? Let me know. Thanks for watching!

1. All archaeological evidence and inscriptions show that the Pre-Islamic Arabs inhabited the Levant and Mesopotamia. I.e. the Nabataeans, Qedarites, Ghassanids, Lakhmids, etc.
2. The Sabaeans, Himyarites, Minaeans, Qataban, etc, aren't Arabs at all, never referred to themselves as Arabs, nor did they speak Arabic.
3.The absence of Arab presence in Saudi Arabia in Pre-Islamic times, exept for Hegra i.e. Mada'in Saleh, which was at the southern border of the historical Arabia, i.e. Nabataea/Arabia Patraea, and is part of the historical Levant ( *Modern borders don't mean anything* ).
4.The historical Mecca (Birth place of the Arabs) isn't in Saudi Arabia, and is in fact Petra, in the Levant, and the evidence of which are in the following documentary links I'm going to post.

In fact, historically, Yemen, Oman, and most of what is now Saudi Arabia was called Arabia Felix, but as you mentioned, *ANCIENT* South Arabians aren't Arabs at all. Historically, Jordan is the capital/birthplace of the Ishmaelites, and their land extended from Eastern/Southern Syria, Southern Iraq, East of the Nile river in Egypt, and *NORTHERN* Saudi Arabia. *NO* the Nabataeans didn't live in the Hedjaz region, nobody lived there at that time, they lived in the Southern Levant. Jordan is in the Levant ffs. Even the Arabic language is a Levantine Language, and the first mention of the Arabs/Qedarites, wasn't in the Najd region( central Saudi Arabia), the Assyrians located them in southern Syria, near Palmyra/Tadmur, and yes, their capital was Dumat al-Jandal in what is now Saudi Arabia, but again, modern borders don't mean anything and their capital is in the Syrian desert/Badiyat al-Sham (Arabia Deserta). There is a difference between Arab, the people, and Arabia the region. Remember Arabia the region, which was mostly inhabited by non-Arabs, and only Arabia Petraea, the civilized/city Arabs, and Arabia Deserta, the Bedouin, (the Syrian Desert/Badiyat al-Sham) were inhabited by the ancient Arabs. Did you even watch the documentaries? Especially the one called "The Sacred City"?

Lets start with your claims one by one
First the language: it's well known to the whole planet that invaders bring their language to the new invaded land .
And the same happened here with one difference .
The arabic was upgraded by every different culture adopted it ( freely or by force)
So if you're living in the levant you are welcome for the good pronunciation my ancestors gave you .
2- the religion : the religion itself is broader than the arabic ethnicity (being Muslim doesn't mean that must have arabic origin ) and the prophet Mohamed mentioned that when he said ( انما بعثت الى الأسود و الابيض و الاحمر ) however you also should know that not all the (so called) arabic region is Muslim .
Don't forget that in our area both Jewish religion and Christianity were born , and they both have followers in large numbers in my area (the levant)

A lot of people converted to islam by force and only a minority accepted it because they felt that it was right (and I'm proud that my ancestors were from that minority) so don't use the religious beliefs as a factor of one ethnicity.
3- history : about history it's complicated because our view of events is very different and because we always were the enemies of the rulers who not only tried to replace us and failed ,but also they tried to genocide us and we resisted them bravely .
So yeah we have pretty much different views on history.
Finally culture is so similar to language (your welcome again) but in this case we kept most of our traditions

I lived in 70 Countries the last 44 years, many of the countries was in the Arabic world, (Middle East) and North Africa. One point that is missing, which is very hard to describe, but the family ties are incredible. Actually, the product of emotion of this culture, family and traditions, has not been felt in the west. It is sort of like Thanksgiving on steroids, but ironically, that love of the family, is killer with economic growth, Let me explain. The word is nepotism, we have that issue here is the USA, but competition puts all in check, Whereas in Arabic world, it is tribal, and the best do not surface, and many come to the west to accelerate...Many Arabic professionals are in US Best companies, they are only here, as they could not move forward in their home countries as their last name does not fit... Of all the countries I traveled, I totally love the Arabic world, I feel like Christmas and Thanksgiving everyday!

Back then Arab countries were seen as the only Islamic countries, turkey was ran by secular leaders, Afghanistan was ran by communists and Iran was also secular.

Eritrea is not part of the Arab world. Eritreans see themselves as African; not Arabs. Hardly anyone speaks Arabic in Eritrea. Tigrinya and Tigre are the most common languages of Eritreans.

lol. Speaking Arabic does not make you an Arab. This is the very core of the misunderstanding. United Arabia simply can't exist because there is no such thing. Western historians simply cannot comprehend this fact, and keep calling the Caliphate an "Arab Empire". In the Middle East, we call it Islamic Nation/State/Caliphate, because that's what it was. Islam was what brought these people together. Egyptians are not Arabs, neither are Moroccans, nor Algerians, nor Sudanese, nor Somalians, nor Syrians, nor Iraqis, nor Lebanese. Arabs are only the guys living in the Arabian peninsula, Yemen, Saudis, UAE, Oman, etc. All these groups are very different, even Arabs in the Arabian peninsula are very different themselves. Islam is the only thing that brought all of them together. Even Christians in Egypt for ex. are different from those in Lebanon/Syria. Arab nationalism and pan Arabism does not take that into account (i.e. so called Arabs are mostly not Arabs, merely Arabic speaking), therefore it fails. Nasser tried to enforce it by force and also failed.
That is called Arabization. Even the Prophet himself was from the decedents of Ibrahim, not Arabs, but he is still Arab

Well, as an Egyptian, I'm totally against it. Arab doesn't mean anything other than people who had been colonized by Islamists and getting their origins butchered. The only thing that Arab countries share are Arabic as an official language and Islam as an official religion. And nothing else. But culture-wise, Arabs differ a lot. For instance, here in Egypt we've got a holiday called "Shamm El Neseem" which is being celebrated 'til this day since ancient Egypt times. Also, not to mention, Arabs differ in wealth like you've mentioned before. Gulf Arabs look down to Egyptians because we're impoverished, the same way Western Europeans look down to Eastern and South Europeans or the way Americans look down to Mexicans. Another things to note are the reasons of why all unification attempts failed so far, or why every union fell apart. If we were to look at the history of the United Arab Republic, we would find out that Syrians suffered under the hilariously bad Egyptians to Syrians ratio in governmental positions.
What I support are the Amazigh movements so far. I really appreciate that some decided to stand up and face their colonialists and revive their mutated culture. Keep going, Amazigh! :)
I'm Arab and I strongly oppose any unification between all the states. We were never united and have much less in common than we do in differences. A successful unification would be between Gulf States (GCC), Kuwait, Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain, the UAE and Oman. Aka the Arabian Peninsula, who have similar culture, dialect, socioeconomics and political systems.

As an Egyptian, I would like some sord of a EU for the Arab League to be. as an open borders and a economic alliance and maybe even a millitary alliance as well. because turning all of this lands into one would be hard.
