    Unlike other michellin starred chefs who look like they have not had a day off in decades... Chef Rene trully looks stress free and happy and content... I guess thats the next level after 3 michellin stars ❤️

    And yet I didn't see any dish in this video that I wanted to eat. But to be fair, that may rather be due to the video edit, not the restaurant. I'm sure they must have some savoury dish that doesn't just look like a flower. I'm not a goat, after all.

    It's so funny how people who have zero clue wtf they are talking about are bashing noma and other amazing restaurants. For a young cook to work for one of these chefs for free for a season is like winning the lotto. With that name under your belt you can go and cook anywhere. People bash these chefs for having people work long hours for free but it's the same thing as a kid doing a summer internship somewhere. Also most of these chefs came in in the worst environments. Being yelled at and having plates thrown at you happened all the time but you learned how to do the food right and that's just the way it was. People today all want to start at the top and nobody wants to work hard anymore they just want to be handed everything. I came up in this same chef world and I loved every min of it.

    • @solma1

      Jesse, I don't think you can say that these people critiquing the awful ways of this type of restaurant culture have zero clue. While your former point may be true, what's come out in the news, especially in recent days, is pointing towards not only the lack of pay, but more importantly the incredibly toxic, hostile and abusive culture in these restaurants. Noma is a big culprit of this, as documented by countless employees - especially those working unpaid. Among other restaurants and popular chefs, Noma has perpetuated this toxic environment massively, creating a culture of abuse.
      It also seems pointless to say that most of these chefs came in worse environments.... Why shouldn't we strive for better workplace conditions, instead of perpetuating an abusive hierarchy? I'm glad you loved every minute of it, but the idea that this toxic and abusive culture is normal and even necessary in restaurants is totally wrong. We should try to change this culture for the better.

    • @jesseknorr8594
      @jesseknorr8594 Год назад

      @@solma1 no we shouldn't change it. If you have never been in it or been a part of it you have zero clue. You know how many thousands of people want to get a unpaid job at some of these places. It's crazy. These chefs are the best in the world and by having that name on your resume and that experience you can go anywhere you want. Yes there is abuse and it's a crazy hectic scene and while that has died down over the years I think that sucks. The whole point of it is to break down people who have no business being in that kitchen. It also teaches you to try your best at all times and make every dish perfect. Trust me after you get 50 dishes thrown at you you will make that dish perfect every other time for the rest of your life. People like you dont get it and that's fine but you have no right to bash it or to say shouldn't it be better. It is what it is and the change shows just how lazy this generation is. They don't want to start at the bottom they think they should just be right at the top making big money and sorry that's not how it goes. This generation is scared to take a ass beating and to be honest I think it's pathetic. So again if you have never been there or worked in that environment then just don't comment on it cause it's none of your biz any way

    • @jesseknorr8594
      @jesseknorr8594 Год назад

      @@solma1 the comments you made just show that you will never be the best in the world at anything or work at a place that's the best. It's all about doing everything and dealing with any situation for perfection. This generation are the world's biggest pussys. Just walking into the kitchen at noma and learning is payment enough for real chefs. Like I said you obviously don't get it and that's ok but don't speak on shit you have zero clue about

NOMA have been voted best restaurant in the world 3 times now and still their prices are not the highest in the world. to put it in perspective---- ONLY YOU determine what's the best restaurant or food for you. Not the media and ABSOLUTELY NOT the idiotic stupid ridiculously hilariously comical food industry. try your grandmas recipe instead at home folks. try local and don't spend toooooooooooooo much focus on the food. just eat to live..

      The difference is I can cook whatever my or your grandma can as a reasonably high level home cook, I can't cook or give myself the experience of virtually any 3 star Michelin restaurant like this where its all about the experience and artistic presentation of a full tasting tasting menu. If you're the type of person to happily chomp down on Mcdonalds and watch superhero movies all your life then you do you, personally I want a little bit more in my life sometimes, something where people are trying to elevate an experience as far as they can possibly take it.
      I love Mcdonalds, KFC and good home cooking but the reality is the difference is that sometimes its good to be open minded beyond the basics and experience completely new things, the people shitting on fine dining quite frankly typically are close minded, can't afford it or have never tried it. Reality is that most people if they did have the money would enjoy the occasional indulgence and experience from a place like this.

      More than £135 for your knowledge. Eating at a high end restaurant may seem a little strange to some people and yea that is totally normal at first. People tend to think they go to michelin places just to fill their stomach and that is far from the whole point of eating at a fine dining place like Noma. It’s like going to a concert or opera, why would you go there if you can listen to the music on your phone on youtube for free? They do it for an experience. And people do indeed have a choice before they make a decision. I just find it a bit dumb to even talk about prices when you simply have a choice not to go. And the beef you are looking for, Noma has seasonal menus ‘vegetable, gaming, sea food, and meat’ and again if you simply wanna fell full after eating then i highly recommend going to some random local pubs where you dont need to worry about ur wallet
