There's nothing to stop the rain going behind the barrier at the top when its lashing down and then going under the door. Depending on how heavy the rain is and for how long it rains, there could be gallons of water coming into the property. I've looked at quite a few barriers made by various companies and they all seem to be the same in this respect.
