War of the Worlds Tripod Model

- This was an alternate model based on concept art by my friend Local.
This model was proposed for the War of the Worlds game to act as an alternative design while still using the same body plan as the 2005 tripod so animations wouldn't have to be redone.
It was made with this limitation in mind.

I love how the new Tripod also sends out a trail of Black Smoke, similar to the original book. That's a bonus point!

The dev’s said it’s just exhaust from the heat rays burning so it’s not black smoke, but they said they might add it
Amazing work. Truly awesome attention to detail and imagination. Love the design of the metal on the heads, looks like a sick plate of armor. It has an overall sharper and more threatening appearance to me.
It is such a good alternative concept from the movie. However, keeping the 2 small cages under the Tripod's rear would have given a better look. Impressive work, overall!
True, but they though it was more practical with the way they went.
I went with that because it had to be different from the 2005 design. So I went for the cage being on the back of the body like in the book.
I actually really like the single basket. It actually keeps it in line with the novel as they were described as having one “large fishing basket on the back” as opposed to the two in the film.
@zacattack8 I preferred the two cages because they show off the titanic size of the machines. Plus, they had a cool design in the bottom of the "head."
I just love how it's based of the tripod design from the movie concept arts, amazing work!

The aesthetic reminds me of the alien ship from Battleship (2012). I like the mechanical with a hint of steampunk feel it gives me, nice.
I think the orange light makes them look more intimidating.

i think these types are the current tech of the Aliens cuz, the other tripods mentioned in the 2005 movie was confirmed to be ancient technology

Where do the aliens come out? I know in the 2005 movie they come out the bottom of the leg cause there’s a compartment but your legs don’t look like they have a compartment

I actually prefer this look 👀 it seems to have the weighty walk that Steven loved a LOT before they went with the more ballerina walk

It's both made to avoid copyright infringement and also an alternative model you can switch between

I love the design all together, but is this like a more detailed version or is a custom version? BC I see a few things inaccurate to the original design, and that's why I wanna ask
It's the alternative design made in case Paramount doesn't like the fact that their original tripod model is being used in a paid game. So they made a modernistic variation that looks different, but gives off the same vibes as the 05 model
