The finest burritos in the world are made in San Francisco’s Mission District. But how can you get a hot & fresh one in New York City in time for lunch? Physics, that’s how. For this very serious and scientific video, we dug a classic documentary out of the vault that tells the story of the transcontinental burrito tunnel, and its successor, the transcontinental burrito hypertunnel. They are both true marvels of physics. Oh, and they aren’t real… but the science is.

This is a funny video about some serious science 🌯Someone make sure Egon Shmusk watches this!

This might be my favourite thing you've ever done. I love everything about it.
My thoughts exactly!
I love Joe’s constant creativity and enthusiasm with the videos
I don't think cardiologists are legally allowed to endorse anything involving fastfood ;) but I'm inclined to agree.

Y'all thinking this is an April fools joke, but I just want a burrito.

"from gas station sushi to...... Whatever arby's is" had me in stitches

Some of the science in the video is actually true.

Typical Egon Shmusk: he overlooked the time zone difference. In reality, the burritos arrived almost 4 hours after they were sent. That was his downfall.
Or the other direction good be there 4 hours early
@@cristiansantana4158 That is the problem! It arrived with 4 hours of difference relative to the people who wanted the burrito [who were not there to pick it up (or even knew they wanted a burrito!)].

I just love how the quality of this channel's videos have been going backwards in time yet forwards in quality.

He looks way too natural in that 80's style.
Someone doesn't know their eras.
This is 60s-70s style. Like those old reel videos they'd show during class. The typeface/font should have been enough of a clue on its own.
@@choo_choo_ Nope. Those glasses and clothes are early 80's. I remember enough of the 80's to recognize that style. Definitely not 60's. The earliest you would have seen someone dressed like that would have been the late late 70's.
@@disassemblyrequired3438 The clothes are anachronistic to the video style then. Because the entire video is shot with a 60s-70s look to it.
@@choo_choo_ Ok, but my original comment was about his clothing.🤔 Not the video style. Or the fonts. You want it to be an anachronism. Fine. If that soothes your ego and keeps your brain from hurting.
But I am correct about the clothing, and you're the one who brought a font and video format to a fashion decade comment.
Okay, so the lapels and tie are way too wide to be the ‘60s or the ‘70s. But that kind of glasses was definitely around earlier than the ‘80s too. Though it’s true in the ‘60s and early ‘70s the fashion was more funky glasses shapes with the possibilities plastic offered them. But some people wore glasses very much like that in the ‘60s. And the phones shown at the end are also ‘60s and early ‘70s (touch tone phones were introduced in the late ‘60s), though it’s interesting to note these are GPO phones, not Western Electric phones, so they’re British. Actually, the phones at the bottom right at the end I think are mid to late ‘70s if I recall. So late ‘70s to early ‘80s would be an appropriate averaging of all the elements.
Making education freaking adorable, I always love watching these videos 💕
Reminds me of those cheesy classroom videos we had to watch at school😂
Okay why did I imagine that he will talk about a tunnel where the walls are made of burritos
Edit: Vsauce (Brachistochrone)
Don't forget that Matt Parker and Adam Savage also did a video about the Brachistochrone.

"Egon Shmusk" was the best part of the video. That's all I will see when someone mentions the other guy.
Me: Taking a test
My Brain: Maybe you've heard of him
The fact that this only has 200,000 views is an absolute crime. If the creative team is seeing these, please, PLEASE realize the only reason for the low view count is because the title is about a fictional topic, so it inherently doesn’t clickbait very well for science nerds. It is NOT because this video isn’t good. God, this is one of the best videos I have ever seen.
It took me far too long to realise that it's April first today. I have no idea why I am watching still. Love the fake awkwardness.
The title is pure gold
Lmao! I was worried in the beginning this was just gonna be a bit for the intro. Pleasantly surprised it kept going! This mostly works because of Joe's spot on performance! *Maybe you've heard of him! 😂 And great editing!
