- If humanity discovered evidence of alien life on Mars, could we really trust our eyes? From NASA rovers to soviet orbiters, the red planet has seen a number of visitors in the last decades. They could have potentially transported durable microorganisms from Earth to the surface of Mars. This introduces us the field of astrobiology and the search for life outside of Earth. Where is the best place to look for this kind of life, past or present? Most likely, the answer is Mars.

It's the same reason why we all don't learn swedish. Sure, it's a language and all swedes learn english as well, but it doesn't mean rest of the world should learn swedish because it's easy to understand.
@@ROHIRIMSK I mean, I prefer metric as well (except with temperature), though it honestly doesn’t matter when not doing calculations. Also if you’re an American creator then generally your target audience will be Americans, not foreigners. Not really a hard concept to grasp.

Metric is used everywhere in the world, but USA, Thailand and some other small country. So yeah, while talking about science, it is preferable to use metric.
As a total American, I can agree to, Celsius is more scientific when it comes to this kind of science. With human biology and Earth meteorology, Fahrenheit is actually a better system.

Just a recommendation use the metric scale since this is the scientific measurement method... or at least when editing the video put notes down what for example what are 85 mils in km.. would help! Not everybody lives in the U.S ! But it's an excellent video, thanks for your work!

I can tell this channel has a bright future! It's only a matter of time before it will became much more successful than now.
The only suggestion I have for you is to express distance and temperature in km/°C too. I'm whatching from Europe and it's always a struggle to understand the conversions, since fahrenheit and miles are pratically non-existent outside US and UK.

Side side note: Try putting 'intermissions' in between parts in your video to put in the mid-roll ads. While the timing right now isn't bad, it could be better (even seen cosmic queries on Startalk?).
Very interesting video! I do have a question for you though: Why are degrees here declared in Fahrenheit and not Celsius (and/or Kelvin)? The vast majority of the planet uses the latter. An easy workaround would be to include both when it's necessary to bring up temperature.
Farenheit would make more sense since the freezing to boiling point is point is 100 compared to 180 in Celsius so maybe he didn't want an extra that would be useless for his point (-81) + the majority of things use farenheit and more people would understand how harsh the conditions are in mars.
i really wanted to believe that there was or there is life on the red planet. I always imagine how they look like, are they look almost exactly like the life on earth or a completely different.
