These lesson videos are GREAT! ... We seldom get to see how a TOP NOTCH golf instructor interacts with a student during a lesson. Looking forward to following your progress. Thanks.
I know this video is older now and you've probably corrected the issue, from watching the swing you were doing what I used to have trouble with.. Club face is staying open at impact and that right elbow out wide a bit and getting down over top of the ball instead of out to the right at impact sweeping it off the tee and exaggerating the follow through with those wrists coming on through to turn the club head like your'e trying to hit a draw.. I hit the ball very long and was blessed to be capable of doing so, so I had a problem with keeping face open at impact and cutting it out to the right, and was chopping my distance down tremendously and a dramatic amount.. Then I moved the ball back into my stance a bit inside ball of foot and club even with my waist line instead of out in front of it.. Been killing it 300 plus straight with a tiny bit of a baby cut. I made myself try to hit some draws and hooks first to make sure the club path was correct and once I did that I just moved my back right foot a tad behind me and I've been killing it dead straight much more often and with that slight cut but instead of on right side of rough or worse, it's now cutting directly into the center cut of fairways like it should be with the proper alignment, swing path, and follow through. Love your videos brother...
Incredible coaching! Really need to work on this also and will figure out how to utilize the alignment stick in front of the trail knee in my indoor sim area.
Thank you so much for this video. The early extension has been my problem. After watching this video my driving has drastically improved. My last 2 times out, I've only missed the fairway just a few times and the misses I've had were manageable. Thanks.
Learning a lot from your work with Cameron, thank you for the content! Love the narrative and language he equates to the game of golf. Good work here, your tempo looks quick. In reference to your takeaway on the driver, I realize youtube comments are the last place to look for advice but I had to let you know haha Best wishes
Met you at the 7th hole Sunday at East Lake you took and picture with my brother. Really cool for you to be nice enough to do that. Another great video once again! I also struggle with a slice! Keep grinding.
I know Cameron is a next level coach. I'm a bit surprised that he didn't address the angles at the beginning of the downswing. It appears that you're coming across the ball at impact. This may be what Cameron will look at next time. In having my slice corrected, I was instructed to "bump" my hips forward to begin my downswing. This little motion caused my right elbow to dip down instead of moving toward the target line and then coming over the top. Great lesson!
Love the game analysis at the beginning of the video. Your level of improvement in such a short time is incredible. When, or at what age, did you pick up a club and play for the first time? In your round with the Golfholics you said you were two and half months into golf, but your swing looks too good and natural to be that new to the game.
The number one thing for me was was straightening my left wrist in the back swing, rather than letting it fold back/upward near the top of the backswing. No matter how strong my grip was or how much I closed the face I still sliced until I fixed this wrist problem.
Brodie- Just curious... In your journey with the Driver slice/cut, have you guys discussed swing path at all? I didnt hear Cam mention it at all in this vid. Cheers!!
This is awesome!!! I love watching your golf journey as I am a new golfer too. I started a little over a year ago and I made my high school varsity team. Hoping to meet you one day and talk some golf!! :)
@Brodiesmithgolf- Hey, first off I wanna saw awesome improvement, your swing looks great! secondly, I wanna ask how you got in contact with Cameron? I have been trying to get in contact with him so I can start taking lessons with him since I need a new instructor that actually knows his stuff.
If you want to fix your slice and add a little draw simply, tilt your right shoulder below your left, tuck your right elbow in, and try and hit the inside of the ball
I love the spray but it only tells part of the story...Trackman tells the rest...it would be fun to see your Trackman numbers during your journey of golf.
We will start pulling those up...this was mostly for ball contact...my contact had been so poor with low heel shots, that we were only focusing on hitting it square in the sweet spot...Have to do that first
The biggest thing you should get is you have to work on it to get rid of it. This gave you the tools. Theres no one session fix thatll work in the long run. Stop looking for quick fixes and put the time in.
hold up when you got fitted at callaway they done the lie angle and that was an issue and they fit you for the toe being lower? so how come that fitting didnt sort that out?
Thank you for the response!! Is that the app mr McCormick uses on the computer where you can track your progression with the green And red stats? It doesnt show up in the app store. Btw love your progression, great athlete!!
Me neither, I hope Brodie sees this and can help us with finding the app because I hope I can use it too. I guess it would be great to track progress and train better.
How did he fix your driver slice? Almost every one of the 14 shots is sliced. I’m just asking because I have that same stand up move and every time I increase forward flexion and keep the hips back, i come over the top too.
Great video! Great watching you progress in golf however, the average golfer doesn't have access to these types of instruction unless you can shell out the $$$
The ball looks a bit far back in the stance. As in too close to the middle. Maybe try moving it a 1/2 ball to a full ball forward and I bet that cut straightens out.
I notice when Brodie slices the ball really bad, he doesn’t transfer his weight backwards fully and properly. And he starts swinging to early not shifting his weight forward
He is on purpose keeping you comming back. If he taught you how to hit the driver strait or a draw you probably wouldnt rerurn. You literally left this place hitting slices
@@ethanpearson7461 let me guess a power slice or power fade. They still have not fixed his swing plane. U cant hit consistent fades or draws if yor swing plane is not nutaral. Brodie has a out to in swing plane i say gud luck fixing a slice frm there or try fading it to his target.
deeban shajahan if you actually paid attention to the video... the only thing they were working on is strike location on the driver face. You can’t go about fixing a slice if you are inconsistent on where your strike location is, then they can fix whatever they have to later on
Ethan inconsistent strike location comes frm drum roll please of not understanding the swing plane. Ethan please inlighten us on hw u go bout fixing the strike point witout a proper swing motion or plane? Are u a believer in one piece takeway Ethan?.

He breaks everything down so simply
great lessons!! im doing it on the course!!! Thank you! keepe'm coming!!! Mahalos
So GOOD!
I think the most confusing part of this video was figuring out if Cameron had an accent or not
Everyone has an accent
He sounds like an Aussie who has been in America too long
Bababa Bingo
Enjoyed the video, but still waiting on the on the part where you fixed the slice?
6:30 This is when he fixes the slice.
Learning so much from this! Cameron is such a great teacher...lots of positive energy and Enthusiasm.

Glad you are enjoying them! Highly suggest you check out their instagram!
Dude im learning more from these vids than i have from years of lessons. We have a similar swing problems. Keep posting these they are awesome
I sure wish I could afford taking lessons of Cameron McCormick. The guy is awesome!
worth the money for sure

That is what these videos are far. Awesome to hear!
Love those drills! Been doing the one where you push on the back and not let him push you over. Works wonders.
The knee and bump fix is interesting
Thinking how to do this in the range

@Jacob Racquer very true. I think the "when" is just as important as the "what".

Hey Brodie, Love the vids. Helped me loads. Just curious, what is that spray he used to coat the face?

working on that driver drill with the stick in front of ur right knee, when u look alot like brooks keopka through impact and finish.
that ain't too shabby
great golf instruction
Such a foreign language to me. But pumped to watch and learn more ⛳👍

They cant talk bout swing path if they have not fixed the swing plane yet. Any coincidence why jordon speith is struggling wit his driving?.

What are you using on the clubface? Thx
Dr Sholl's athlete's foot spray
What is the paint you use on the face of the driver to detect ball contact?
It's foot powder that they spray on.
What spray is that? And do you spray your irons as well?
How had I not discovered this channel before now??
If you want to fix your slice and add a little draw simply, tilt your right shoulder below your left, tuck your right elbow in, and try and hit the inside of the ball
Curious as to what the stat tracking site Cam was using at the beginning is? Looks somewhat familiar but can't quite point it out..
Couldnt the toe down be shaft flex? meaning a lie angle adjustment?
That’s a big slice you got there!!
Absolute gold!
when is the golfholics vlog coming out
probably on wed
Man I FEEL your pain brother. I’ve struggled SO much with a slice. And no matter what I do it’s always ended up haunting me. 😔
Footwork and lower body he fixed up perfectly.

A slice is an clubface too open in relation to the club path. Doesn't matter if the swing is In to Out or Out to In.

Well it went from a slice to a power fade. Way different shots and way easier to control
I didnt see slices...
what statistics program was that that you were using
It is one that Altus Performance uses
I love your vids
Great video! Great watching you progress in golf however, the average golfer doesn't have access to these types of instruction unless you can shell out the $$$
we just got them for free?
What are they spraying on the club face?
Rayspooner there is a special spray you can buy but dry shampoo is a lot cheaper and works exactly the same doesn’t hurt the club
What was that app that has all those analytics
It isn't available to the public, sorry
That's the problem with mats, we don't get any feedback on the ground of what kind of delivery the shot was.
50% of the battle is keeping the left arm straight and tight with your body. That's the secret to hitting straight drives for right handers.
Wonder how many sessions a regular hack like me would need to fix slice and make better contact
Not as many as me
Every time you swing less stronger you hit more pure shot that goes straight
And probably goes further because of no slice/fady stuff
What a teacher
How much for a lesson with Cameron?
Brandon310b you can reach out to them. All their info is in the description
What Nike shoes are those
No more slice....lol literally slices everything :)
What is he putting on the club to see the ball strike
spray-on foot powder
