    That was cracking value for £15, even for a market kitchen. All of that food was homemade and it's not too spicy to suit most folks tastes. I'm married to a Nepalese and cook this food daily, so it was definitely right on the money!

    • @0-Will-0
      @0-Will-0 2 года назад +1

      Yeah I eat there all the time and a thali with two veg curry is about six quid. Not tried the dumplings yet but they do a dosa too which is only about four quid and amazing too.

    • @dganet
      @dganet 2 года назад +2

      @@0-Will-0 It looked lovely and if the thali is only £6, total bargain!
      You should try momos.....😋 basically Nepal's unofficial national dish after dal & rice. I prefer the veg ones deep fried but the meat ones are best steamed.

    Service with a smile, that's a 10 from me, I visit so many takeaways in South Wales and so many of the people behind the counter are so grumpy, but I also visit alot of places that have the biggest warm welcome smile that makes you go back, even if the food is mid average. 😀

    Some of nicest people in the world in Nepal. Great country. The food there isn´t as varied as India, but you do get some very nice curries along the way. It´s a poor country though, so you get in them whatever they´ve got to hand. As for the Mo-mo´s (dumplings) I always preferred the fried ones (as I reckon you might!!)!!
    I reckon this looked like a solid Nepali meal.

    I put potatoes in my chicken curry. Cabbage/chickpea/lentil curry is good too. I Never use curry powder. Use Turmeric, cumin, garlic, ginger, salt and pepper. Always serve with Hot chutney and I serve my curries on a bed of rice unless I'm making just flat bread and the curry in a bowl. Then I use the bread to pick up curry. Curry at least once a week ! Yummy !
    Great show. My Grandson hears your voice he starts smiling, puts down his toys and watches the whole show with me.

      To be fair, he's a foodie. It would have to be terrible to get a terrible review. But he is letting you know honestly what he thinks of the food. I know... they usually get the 8-10 reviews, but it's because he's rating them for various reasons. The food is always good through amazing. The value for the money. The types of flavors or the different choices the restaurants offer. It's a bit for everyone. Then we come through and pick and choose which ones to go to based on what he says and what our needs/wants are. It's a great system. He's not here to knock anyone down, he's trying to get the restaurants out there so we can keep them in business during the hard times. I know this could go on for quite a while, but I also think he's offering a service of interacting with people. We need that in the world today. He's touching people all over the world. It's amazing.

    I love this place and the chap Dev is sound.
    It’s still good value but before the inflation it was unbelievable value.
    I’m watching the video and I know it’s gonna be a good verdict.
    Much more subtle flavours than Indian food but the influence is there.

    Please go to Southampton Danny! I miss it sooooo much and would love to see the city centre again. You can pop into my old work and tell them I said hi all the way from Australia 😁
