the cure are the definition of happy-sad, upbeat sound with depressing lyrics
Another great song by The Cure is Just Like Heaven, great song
Please listen to their song "A Forest".
It's hard to explain, it's different in a very good way.
Bow down. This was a life altering song in the early 80s.
By Westside Connection?
The very beginning of alternative rock.
if you like this song, listen to "lullaby" by the cure. it's the best song they've ever made, in my opinion.
The Cure, one of the best bands of ALL TIME. Their music spanned the gamut of punk-derived genres: Post Punk, New Wave, (and what most of their music was) Dark Wave, etc. Even though I wouldn’t classify their music as Goth, they were definitely what Goth was born of.
The Cure is the "Pink Floyd" of the next generation! 😎
Reminds me of the Solomon Islands 1998. Bought this on tape at hmv in Sydney on route. On tape! They only had a few tapes...............😊
I loved thier music and saw them a few times. This was a great song but my favorite was Just Like Heaven. It seemed like everytime they came out with a new song I liked it better than the last. Seeing them live outside in late spring on a beautiful night was one of the best shows I've ever gone to and thier not the best band I've ever gone to see but it was something about the weather that night the beer and thier music that makes it such a great memory. My friend Julie and I loved the Cure so we went and just had a blast at that time the English Beat was huge too so anyone into that type of music was at this show and during I intermission they played the EB Iggy Pop and Modern English and we met someone from everywhere. A lot of fun. I still play the original album from what is now way back then. The crowd was the most mellow crowd I ever came across at a concert. Good times.
Also, “Just Like Heaven” is *chef’s kiss*. One of their best. My fave is “Close To Me”
Listen to A Foolish Arrangement, b-side of A Letter to Elise. Then, listen to Mint Car. Then, you must fall into the rabbit hole of sad cure songs, and I would start with the new Masterpiece, Endsong. The Cure is the fucking best. 💜
Playing Wembley arena this December
Nathan it's your brother here, you should listen to this tune: Bush-Glycerine
Listen to a song called Guide by a band called The Music. Way underrated Uk band from early 2000s
Still waiting for you to listen to Paramore 😭😭
Interpol Obstacle 1
Song about lost love - "It's a happy, happy song". fail!
Listen to Lightnin' Strikes Again by Dokken !
For the first time??? Since 1979??? You dont have a radio in your house?
Great rock band of a generation never a goth band!
