Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on RUclips, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on RUclips. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on RUclips, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

    The Cure are incredible.
    Disintegration is a masterpiece.
    These two tracks are perfection.
    Great reaction.

Some albums allow you to see your entire past, present, and future, and Disintegration is one of the best ever. Robert Smith’s hauntingly delicate vocals and the winding/mazelike
soundscapes give you a sense of being everywhere and nowhere. The album is a masterpiece of its genre.

@@MRoyClark My mistake, Green was released in November of 1988 and I spent all of 1989 listening to it. I was off by six weeks. My apologies.

@@musicaddict5076 Yeah. It was a heck of a time for cool music doing well on the Pop charts. R.E.M., The Cure, the B-52's, Depeche Mode, and even Love & Rockets became MTV darlings and had US Top10 hits.

Takes me back to when I was living in the Isle of Skye. I bought the tape of Disintegration from the little record shop and I nearly wore it out. I still have it and its still my favourite Cure album. An absolute beauty!

Disintegration…man I played the heck out of that album back in the day, my youngest daughter was born in ‘89 and so many nights I used to listen to this rocking her at night.

I love your reaction to Pictures of You. It impacts me the same way. I took my 18 year old son to see the Cure play this entire album at the Sydney Opera House a few years ago. Magic.

Great reaction, thanks Shawn😊 There are no words to describe what this album has meant to me since it was released, when I was 16. I saw them live for the first time that year...I still get goosebumps thinking about the opening of "Plainsong" at that concert.

This song was released my senior year of high school. It only received air time on alternative/ college stations or MTV but those of us who knew of Pictures of You knew it was special. Glad to see that it is holding up.

They had been doing good album after good album for years and then made THIS, THE BEST ALBUM EVER MADE 😱😱😱🤷🏻‍♂️. Though very popular and "mainstream" Robert Smith doesn't receives the recognition he deserves as a composer; from the saddest and darkest to the joyfulest and even happiest, he's done everything maintaining an own style. He's like those "classical" composers, Mozart for instance, that could make very light-hearted pieces and very dark ones.

"Pictures of you" the quintessential high school teen angst breakup song. Lying in your bedroom with headphones listening to it while just knowing you will never heal from this intense heartbreak. Seems silly now to remember, but it is part of growing up.

Another band I loved but keep largely forgetting ever existed. Saw them at Glastonbury in 1989 with my sister ❤ Now, it puts me in mind of Bowie or Eno or similar. Up there with the best of ‘em.

    • @intothesunset3
      @intothesunset3 Месяц назад

Robert Smith would love that comparison...he once called Bowie's 'Low' (made with Eno, as I'm sure you know) the "greatest record ever made" (which I agree with him about...and this one isn't far behind it, imo!)

Unbelievable to think that this was 18 going on 19 for me when this came out.
And even crazier is by the time this came out, I had been listening to them for 9 years already.....
This entire album is amazing. But make sure to go back to the earlier stuff as well.
One of the only bands that my first band would cover.
The Cure is just one of the best period.
