- All about Reference plane and Reference line in Revit. This tutorial explains how to control angle constraint using Reference Line. You can differentiate between reference plane and Reference line and when to use them.
It is important that we have to understand these elements for creating advance Revit families.
This also covers How to set Work plane?
What is the Strong , Weak and Not a Reference plane.
Reference Line have two paints. Reference Plane is a infinite in length

can you use a reference line for an array similar to a line based family?
Yes you can.
I appreciate your help !

Stopped watching at 5:58. The “subscribe” scroll made it difficult to focus on the subject.
I understand the mistake. Now Im editing all videos. Not as live. Thanks for the comments
Can we delete a default plane in generic model, after we changed a orgin point to other plane which was created manually.
If the Plane or any object which is exist from Template we can't delete it.
thanks

Hi There,
Your video is amazing mate, that is a very good tip.
I'm trying to create a parametric ducting connect.
For example, every 1,5m duct to my system generates a connection automatically. Can you help me, please?
Thanks
Hegel
Thanks Mate. To do so you may need to write a script in Dynamo to place fittings automatically. To avoid placing manually.
thank you a lot
Thanks to you
Great but it doesn't work if you set the angle to zero and next set and other values different to zero.
It must be working. It happens if we not locked the end properly. It happens to me also sometime. Try multiple times.
@@BIMModeller yes you're right !
@@mrbenson63 Great. Call me Raj
Reference Planes can be used for Angle Constraints, but it is not recommended.
I mean Mostly Used. Then how do you propose? any clue🙃
Reference Lines contains 4 planes nor six.
Yes I Agree
Should be six
