Hey Boating Propless just wanted to say thank you for putting this video out. The oscillating tool tip was a life saver. I was doing the same work on my 2012 AR 240 this weekend and just so happened across your video the other day and am glad I did. Thanks again!
YES! Awesome video depicting a major upgrade sought after by so many. This video is a must watch for anyone considering this project. Really well done and provides some key tips and tricks. Boating Propless is the channel to follow!
Awesome I’m about to do this to my AR250 swim deck. I am a little worried that the oscillating tool could scratch the fiberglass ( my wife calls me wreck it Ralph)
Amazing job, Mike! Boat looks even newer! Awesome install video! I used an erasure wheel to remove the adhesive and found good results! Bravo! Maybe Capt. Leon will be enticed to upgrade now!
Great Video! Quick Question: You mention at 2:10 that its important to take off as much glue as possible before using solvents. Can you explain why? As I understand the solvents (I assume you are referring to Mineral Spirits) will help in removing the glue? Just seeking some clarification. Thanks much!
It softens it up the glue to remove from the surface. The problem is, It will make a sticky mess. The less there is, the easier it will be to collect and dispose.
I'm waiting for my SeaDek order to come in to be installed. What color is yours? I ordered Storm Gray over Bimini Blue over Navy. I have a 2022 Tahoe 185S. Sorry I don't have a jet boat!!! Ha Ha!!!! This is my first boat. Maybe my next boat will be a Yamaha. Looks Amazing. Now I'm really excited
I ordered Smoke Grey Over Black. It better matched the upholstery and the Bimini top. Also, the darker color will hopefully masks any dirt the kids bring on.
I just received my Seadeck for my 242 and I really liked your extra thick helm pad! How did you get that??? I assumed you ordered from jetboatpilot? I haven’t installed it yet will do it in the spring! But I love the extra thick helm padding!( I want it) Great video well done! Your subscriber up here in Canada 🇨🇦 keep up the good work!
Thanks Shawn! Yes, I ordered the SeaDek from JetBoatPilot during their fall group buy. The extra thick pad didn't come with the set and had to be ordered additionally (although did get the group discount). That pad was worth every penny!

Thanks for making this video.. Installing the JetBoatPilot Marine Mat made easy
No problem! Glad I was able to help out! 😄
Great idea with the tape! I eyeballed mine
Tape helped a lot! Also, having extra hands to hold it didn't hurt either.

Do they not make sea decking that snaps in to the existing snap in points
As per @jetboatpilot, they stopped making it with that option. I’m not sure of the exact reason why.

@@boatingpropless ok thanks for the info! They are having a Black Friday sale going on so I will just order it separately!
Question... JetBoatPilot sells traction mats on their site... further looking it's called MarineMat... how do these compare to SeaDeck?
