Yamaha Jetboat | Hydrophase Ridesteady Install
Not only do I hate the throttle drop with a passion, but the de-synchrony of the engine RPMS while underway is a killer. In an attempt to alleviate the problem, I installed the Hydrophase Ridesteady system in my 2010 SX240. This was made specifically for our Yamaha boats to help with launch control and hold speeds/rpms for water sports. Bonus, now I can finally hold the correct speed when wake boarding!

    FYI. You must bend over the tabs on the outer pads. If you do not, then that pad will not stay in the proper position on the rotor. It will fall and wear the pads and rotors in the wrong place. Best way to bend is to put a wrench under the pad and pry up on the pad to hold it in place against the rotor at the hub. Then hammer them over. Doesn't take much.

    • @boatingpropless
      @boatingpropless 21 день назад

Actually my port side gauge is not working atm so it is not bothering me 😂 Thanks again mate, these are so helpful.

    • @boatingpropless
      @boatingpropless 2 месяца назад

      No problem! Yea, so you put in a set speed or RPM and you push the throttles past the point it would normally be at for that setting. If you need more throttle, it’ll tell you to push the sticks more. It can never give “more” throttle than what is applied, only give less. It’s the safety in the system that you can always stop if you needed to easily.

    Good job Mike…I’ve been following you, Capt Leon & Smokin J since my purchase of my 2021 195S. Many great ideas. For sound deadening, I used Kilmat 50mil squares on the inside of the engine cover to see how well it did. Definitely worth the effort since it lowered the reverberation of that cover better than the stock, whimpy foam. Apply it on a warm sunny day and it stick nicely. I’ll be adding more to other areas of the engine bay as well as the gas tank cover (as you pointed out) since I hadn’t thought of it as a source of vibration.
