- A Thai food classic... 'Moo palo' or braised pork and egg stew. The five spice braised pork and the soy sauce eggs combine in a flavour-packed broth that is just too irresistible. One of my favourite childhood dishes. I hope you guys enjoy it too!

Thank you!! Cant wait to try!😋😋
Just recently discovered you. Marion, you are fantastic. It’s so calming and relaxing watching your videos.
Aw thank you so much Laura! :-)
lovely recipe, can't wait to try it!
I made this tonight for dinner and it was delish! Would definitely make it again for my hubby 😊 Thanks Marion!
What a great dish ... the paste is an added twist. I usually cook this stewed pork dish with pork leg and skin on ... and for an extra kick, add some dried chillies but will certainly try this paste. Thank you for churning out wonderful ideas for my family meals!
I'm doing it right now, it's smells amazing!!! you're amazing ! thanks
I made this today but I used fresh cilantro instead and boyyyyy it’s so good. Thanks 🤗
This is next on my recipe list. Will try it this week.
So good!
One of my favorite dishes. I usually add galangal too, think I'll make this this week! ❤️
ไข่พะโล้!!!!!! 💓💓💓I love this soooo much. But I make mine with chicken wings :)

Another great video!!
Made this with pho soup stock. Love it!
Made this last night and it was delicious ... lots of umami. I couldn't find sweet dark soy sauce but found a recipe online and made my own.
So easy and yet so tasty
I confirm...This’s an authentic Thai food recipe. You did better than some Thai cooker tho 👍🏼
Hi Marion, looks yum!!! Would definitely try this one out. What do you do with the pork skin?
we call this Pares in the Philippines with ❤️
Just yummy
I love you!
Meghan Tran Hey thanks!! 😍
We have similar in Bali except we use the skin also and since Balinese usually don't use fresh coriander we just use the seeds . Either way I'd great! With the same spices we can use to braised short ribs
Wijaya NKS ooooh yes! With beef short ribs would be sooo good!
looks like adobo
Please do a collab with Adam Liaw!
That's like an adobo
Hi Marion, I love your recipes. About this recipe, can I cook it on a slow cooker? Thank you 😊
Absolutely Yes.
Not sure if it would work but what about, instead of putting the already hard boiled eggs in, why not poach the eggs in the simmering broth? Sounds awesome to me
Paste:
Pepper/salt/kimchay
Oil/paste/pork (caramelized)
Oyster/soy sauce/sugar/spices/stararnis/water/tofu (10m)
Egg(1hr)
Title Thai braised pork
*adds chinese five spice
title: am i a joke to you
Do Thai people restrict themselves to locally grown and produced foods only? If not, I see no issue with this.
Wow, if you think this way, you must really hate Australians as we use ingredients from every part of the world in our cuisine. I guess your comment reflects this given Marion is Thai/Australian. 🐨
Can you do the Taiwan version.?
What's in the paste..
She's gorgeous
I dont like using Palo powder cause when you're done, you have a sludge powder at the bottom. Instead, I make a caramel, brown the pork in it, then saute the pepper, garlic and cilantro. I add the palo powder, paste that I just sautee'd, and anise and cinnamon in a boil bag. This keeps the stew dark and clear. Not muddy or turbid.
Why not include the skin?
braise pork skin is delicious. you should not trim it out. for sugar, should also use palm sugar, better for it.
Which part of Thailand is your mother from? Because the preparation and the method seems different.
I am surprised she doesn’t caramelized sugar first.
Khai palo who watch Enchante (thai bl series)😊💕💕
Mom used pork leg for this dish
Can we use goat or chicken meat instead because we don't eat pork and beef...
Chicken is also great , i never try goat as i dont eat goat.
@@rainrip6518 Thanksss
can we skip the tofu 😅 don't like em
I cook it often and we are too lazy to put tofu , its totally ok to skip it.
You lost me at tofu lol what can you use instead of that rubbish
David Hamill you can just leave it out
