- In this week's Friday episode, Patrick and Stuart host a five-course dinner for guests that also includes visiting patrons of the Château de Colombe. Patrick shows how he makes the starter course of creamed white asparagus soup from scratch, and his preparation of the roasted vegetables for the main course.

Asparagus soup is a fantastic soup. I add a snif sugar in it,but the recipe is the same as I learned to cook from my mother.( Netherlands 🇳🇱).

Good morning Patrick & Stuart, as always, you put on a fine show. The table looked so pleasant, and the food looked great. At the dinner table it is all about the "atmosphere" for those whom are present. It was nice to share the menu with you, the food plated, looked absolutely smart and delicious. Not too much, just sufficient to bring back good memories later on. It is lovely to be able to share your dwelling with your friends and supporters, totally different to see in person than on camera. Why didn’t I ever hear that you need to cook the butter & flour for a few minutes when making a roux so it doesn’t taste like flour? How fun it is to learn something new at 68. Your dinner had me salivating! I loved the table setting too.

Patrick to make a roux is so important in any cooking. Also use everything you chop to create a stock. Whether veggies or meat. Can be frozen and used again💕
