I've been watching another Chateau channel for about a year, then came across yours about two weeks ago. You are fun, whitty and charming and love your home and the care you have for the land and the animals that live on it. Do your own thing, don't worry about the criticism and enjoy your journey. Absolutely loved the drone footage of that glorious beach. I love beaches where you don't obviously see all the human footprints and can imagine that you alone are the only ones on the beach. People who ask nosy personal questions are just plain rude. Ignore them!! Love your cats and if they are inside it is no one else's business. I would truly miss you both if you stopped filming.

Are all the feral cats so friendly in France? My son and I, mostly my son, have been caring for a feral community of 8 to 12 cats in Delaware USA for Years and although they come running when they see him, for food, they mostly won’t even let him pet them! When it’s bad weather he has made my porch into a comfy place for them to sleep using our old blankets, pillows etc. We also have 4 indoor only cats of our own, one of which he found on a street years ago who is somewhat friendlier but Hates to be picked up😅

We don’t find California “mad”. We ride our bikes on the beach path, we hike in the mountains, and this is in December, January, Februrary, and all the other months.

Yours is my favorite chateau and exactly what I would want should I want to buy a chateau (trying to convince my friends to chip in on one and they are starting to warm up to the idea). Your chateau is aesthetically charming, not too big, has the right amount of land, beautiful outbuildings, near scenic towns, not too far from the sea, donkeys and my favorite part of your chateau is your dreamy allée. Considering how crazy the USA is now (not that there are any places on this earth that aren't crazy right now) I one hundred percent think the two of you have gotten it right. Yes I know I live in SoHo, NYC and Dollar A Slice Pizza is right down the street from me (don't be too jealous!) but I think you and your family have landed an extraordinary chateau and lifestyle.
NYC is sure world's away from France and their lifestyle! But also a lovely place. My hubby moved to NWPA, USA from CT, we think this is Utopia, layed back, farms, neighbors helping each other. I love watching historic homes being renovated, especially chateaus, plus I so enjoy you two! The donkeys, the indoor cats, feral cats, the dogs - just love how they are a part of your "family." Anyone who cares for animals like you folks do is okay by me. Love your wit and how you two "play together" so well and you're so down to earth! My favorite episode was when Lincoln put up the macrame swing chairs under the tree. I almost fell off my chair from the laughter! You just continue being you and I'll keep watching. And, it's really cool that you draw the line by keeping your children off screen. God meet all your needs in 2024.
The comment 'you are boring' after explaining the differences between US and Europe and how you prefer France. Don't listen to people who think that, there's plenty of other chateau channels for them. You are both easy listening, honest and down to earth people. We bought our Brittany house sight unseen, though we did investigations about the area and had reports made about the condition of the fabric. We were not disappointed and still love going to Brittany each year from Australia for the Summer months.

Don’t give up! My 47 year old daughter has been getting everything together to apply for citizenship to Italy! It is a lot of work since my husbands father, her grandfather, died years ago. Fortunately we have a lot of papers & pictures of his and that’s been a goldmine. Once she has citizenship in Italy I am pushing for her to go to France and I can visit🥰🤗❤️

I don’t like the idea of waiting for visa stays, having to do a business, traveling back and forth, having to purchase a house there & still paying a mortgage here, plus we are retired.
@@taunyawren8020 I understand . We’re both retired too plus I use a wheelchair and unfortunately it seems that getting around France is very difficult if handicapped. Still If I were 20 years younger I would have loved to do what they are doing. So I just live vicariously watching them. 😊

Kitties are telling all their friends to come to the Chateau! We just had 19 and counting feral cats removed from my Dad’s property. Dad just passed away so no one would be there to continue feeding them. Dad would pay for neutering and yet they still multiplied! Thank you for taking care of all the cats. I have 20+ currently and have rescued, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and other cares for probably 50 some over the years. And I wouldn't change thing. Makes my heart happy to have helped them and they have certainly enriched my life over the years.
We’ve moved to Spain from Australia and it’s similar. Slow pace of life, appreciating what’s important and people are just so polite here, we fit in more than we did back home. Like we’ve found where we are supposed to be. I’d never go back.

My son and I, mostly my son, have been caring for a feral community of 8 to 12 cats in Delaware USA for Years and although they come running when they see him, for food, they mostly won’t even let him pet them! When it’s bad weather he has made my porch into a comfy place for them to sleep using our old blankets, pillows etc. We also have 4 indoor only cats of our own, one of which he found on a street years ago who is somewhat friendlier but Hates to be picked up😅

Yours is my favorite chateau and exactly what I would want should I want to buy a chateau (trying to convince my friends to chip in on one and they are starting to warm up to the idea). Your chateau is aesthetically charming, not too big, has the right amount of land, beautiful outbuildings, near scenic towns, not too far from the sea, donkeys and my favorite part of your chateau is your dreamy allée. Considering how crazy the USA is now (not that there are any places on this earth that aren't crazy right now) I one hundred percent think the two of you have gotten it right. Yes I know I live in SoHo, NYC and Dollar A Slice Pizza is right down the street from me (don't be too jealous!) but I think you and your family have landed an extraordinary chateau and lifestyle.
NYC is sure world's away from France and their lifestyle! But also a lovely place. My hubby moved to NWPA, USA from CT, we think this is Utopia, layed back, farms, neighbors helping each other. But yes, it's a crazy upside down world. Amanda and Lincoln take my mind off troubles for a while.

I love watching historic homes being renovated, especially chateaus, plus I so enjoy you two! The donkeys, the indoor cats, feral cats, the dogs - just love how they are a part of your "family." Anyone who cares for animals like you folks do is okay by me. Love your wit and how you two "play together" so well and you're so down to earth! My favorite episode was when Lincoln put up the macrame swing chairs under the tree. I almost fell off my chair from the laughter! You just continue being you and I'll keep watching. And, it's really cool that you draw the line by keeping your children off screen. God meet all your needs in 2024.
The comment 'you are boring' after explaining the differences between US and Europe and how you prefer France. Don't listen to people who think that, there's plenty of other chateau channels for them. You are both easy listening, honest and down to earth people. We bought our Brittany house sight unseen, though we did investigations about the area and had reports made about the condition of the fabric. We were not disappointed and still love going to Brittany each year from Australia for the Summer months.

Don’t give up! My 47 year old daughter has been getting everything together to apply for citizenship to Italy! It is a lot of work since my husbands father, her grandfather, died years ago. Fortunately we have a lot of papers & pictures of his and that’s been a goldmine. Once she has citizenship in Italy I am pushing for her to go to France and I can visit🥰🤗❤️

I don’t like the idea of waiting for visa stays, having to do a business, traveling back and forth, having to purchase a house there & still paying a mortgage here, plus we are retired.

Kitties are telling all their friends to come to the Chateau! We just had 19 and counting feral cats removed from my Dad’s property. Dad just passed away so no one would be there to continue feeding them. Dad would pay for neutering and yet they still multiplied! Thank you for taking care of all the cats. I have 20+ currently and have rescued, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and other cares for probably 50 some over the years. And I wouldn't change thing. Makes my heart happy to have helped them and they have certainly enriched my life over the years.

We’ve moved to Spain from Australia and it’s similar. Slow pace of life, appreciating what’s important and people are just so polite here, we fit in more than we did back home. Like we’ve found where we are supposed to be. I’d never go back.
