Thanks for this video!! I try the grooves starting really SLOW...😅 And I realized that the fingering right hand is crucial to gain speed ( I love the montuno! )
Good video, enjoyable and informative. It is well crafted to a wide player skill level. Challenges for the newer player and ideas for the more advanced.
lesson again. I have been playing for some years and have tried many teachers and you are by far the best! Your explanations are always excellent and you make learning fun again. Thank you
Hello there.....thank you for everything you are doing for us.. People who have a new interest in keys...I would love for you to do a series of videos on sus chords...diminished chords and basically all types of chords for new players. Thanks.
Yes Coach, I am challenged. I do not think myself as a jazzy person, but if I can hit this, this is a valuable addition in my sleeve. Thanks Coach, love this!
Love your tutorials. Next masterclass pls on fills/ piano solo using pentatonic ( major/ minor) scales with different grooves ex. Mercy Mercy, Watermelon man etc etc. Thanks
I just recently picked up the keyboard after 35 years. I found your channel and subscribed. I know basic theory but enjoy playing by ear more. Thank you for your awesome videos!
This one was lots of fun to play along with! I really enjoyed there being stuff I could get to grips with easily, and also stuff that is more of a stretch
Wow, what a great lesson, excellently grooves, that’s just what I want the now. Getting back into playing keys and this has got me buzzing! Its that left hand that needs more work for me..well and also to stretch my RH fingers, yours have amazing strength to jeep this stretches and rhythm going. I love me Supertramp and play a load of their tunes, it was them that got me into playing piano. I take it you have a course? I will check out your website etc. I would be happy to buy you a coffee for this lesson, hours of practicing for me 🙌🙌🙏🤘
Hi Savio! Courses are coming soon - do keep an eye on the channel. If you are interested in joining a live coaching program, drop me an email adam@thekeyscoach.com
Adam long time fan and really happy to see the channel growing. I’m curious, if you’re comfortable sharing, do you have higher level academics? Undergraduate, graduate etc? Cause you kinda sound like you studied kinesiology at Cambridge😂 all your nomenclature and the way you explain things is just very in line with motor skill research!
Thanks a lot for all these great grooves and the free PDF which helps people so much if they need to see scores as I do. Greetings from Germany. It‘s warm too but not that hot.
Hi Adam thank you for this amazing session your keyboard sounds so good much better as my nord piano what is it for ? Thanks a lot for your sessions Christophe from reunion island
Hi Christophe - great to hear from you. This is actually a VST on Logic - I'm just using the Nord as a midi keyboard. The Nord is an Electro - I've had it ages and it's really great. Hope that helps!
WOW, this has my brain melting. Love a challenge. Now I have to download the backing tracks. Just amazing the new content you provide every week. Thanks Adam.
This is really sweet and I love the challenge from a theory standpoint too, I’m not done the video but I’m at 6:12 and so far it seems we are in Bb major in a 2-1-5 (2-5-1 just reordered) progression? So my biggest question assuming all of that; is groove one limited to a 2-5-1 progression? Or could it be used for other popular chord progressions? And if so is there like any chord progression that would particularly odd? Love the work and I’m excited what’s in store
Hi Ethan - glad you enjoyed this one. Groove 1 is essentially a I, bVII/I to IV/I - so C, Bb/C and F/C. The main thing to take away from the video is is the rhythm patterns - so you take the essence and rhythm of the riff and apply it to your own sequences by tweaking or changing the voicings. Hope that helps!

@@thekeyscoach oh my goodness that makes perfect sense the way you described! Thanks for answering!
👏👏👏👏 gracias
Wow, quite heavy stuff this time
Hello, congratulations, what cameras do you use?
Hi Richard! I use a Sony ZVE10 for the main cam then a simple overhead cam for the keys shot. Hope that helps!
@@thekeyscoach excellent quality congratulations👏
ya this is cool guidance,
gonna have to send you some $ next pension cheque or ii'll start feeling guilty lol.
Sounds great. What are the settings to get that wurlu sound?
Good question - I think this might have been a preset on Logic, or perhaps Keyscape. I can't quite remember what I used!
Is the second one in G Dorian, like F Major chords kinda?
I cannot get the pdf
No probs! Shoot me an email - adam@thekeyscoach.com and I'll make sure you get it.
Hablas mucho
