    Thanks, thats great like all your videos, but focuses on accompaniment playing, how about some examples using the melody line as in a piano solo, I am sure there are many of us that dont sing or have anyone to play along with. Rhythm is something that lets my playing down a lot, and most of the time I am playing melody.

    Hi David !! So exciting to listen to your teaching!! I am just at a very basic level but I recognize I have great musical ear and good singing voice that can help me grow in my piano learning, but what are the basic parctices and routines that I should not miss doing everyday to advance in my piano skills as a new learner?? Please advice! Thank you!!!

      It’s Adam mate. Scales, broken chords and basic patterns I’d suggest.
      Good comment though and good luck in your playing.

    • @thekeyscoach
      @thekeyscoach  2 месяца назад

      Hi Aimee, great question - focus on one key and get the core chords down (I, IV, V and vi). Also make sure you have a good grasp of the basic scales in the key. Then my best advice would be to work through one of these videos - download the PDF and play through everything with the backing track. Really focus on locking in with the drum tracks and record yourself and listen back. These videos aim to give you real world skills that you can apply to various songs. Let me know how you get on!

    Great video. I still don't get push concept? is that a 32nd ahead of the beat?

    • @thekeyscoach
      @thekeyscoach  2 месяца назад

      Hi - a push can happen on any subdivision, but essentially the next chord happens earlier. It could be an 1/8th note earlier, 16th, 32nd etc. Hope that helps!

    I used to play flamenco guitar and one practice that they do is called "hide the metronome." You play very staccato chords along with an acoustic metronome and when you are dead on, the two sounds merge and the sound of the metronome will disappear. Electronic metronomes don't work.

    • @thekeyscoach
      @thekeyscoach  День назад

      Absolutely Andrew - it's like the metronome goes into your subconscious. Such a great feeling!

    Which scale you play C or F

    • @MrYuryZ
      @MrYuryZ 2 месяца назад

      It looks to me that he plays in F. Because of other chords, Bb from the scale and F feels like home - tonic note. But I guess with the barrowed chords, Bb/C for example, from a parallel C minor he may also play in the key of C.

    • @Spiritual_Revival_media
      @Spiritual_Revival_media 2 месяца назад

      @MrYuryZ but Bb/C is look like C7 so i doubt it is in C scale

    • @MrYuryZ
      @MrYuryZ 2 месяца назад

      @@Spiritual_Revival_media I don't insist because I don't know either. I just share my thoughts why he may plays in one key or another.
