Nice video! Ideal for college students, teens, or busy people for a light meal. However, I don't season the rice and use brown rice instead. It's also a good way to get rid of leftovers (as long as they're not too mushy or wet), such as roasted seasoned meat or veggies or stir-fried. I sometimes add shredded carrots, thinly sliced cucumber, or chopped cilantro, for the color and refreshing taste. Basically, you are using rice to replace 2 slices of bread. Kids just love it! However, if you are on a low-carb diet, you should measure the cooked rice and split it into 2 portions.

We only had okonomiyaki sauce but it tasted great :) I was a bit worried our sheets of nori were too small but the rice was sticky enough for everything to hold in place without the plastic wrap technique. My ex, my sister, my father and I have all ended up in urgent care because of a mandolin! All docs in emergency care say they see mandolin injuries weekly. Many of them! I still use for onions but ONLY with the safety guard! And I leave a good chunk leftover for other uses. Don’t get picky about slicing down to the bottom. Too dangerous!

Sure! Refrigeration may dry out the rice a bit and make it a little stiffer, and the tofu may lose a bit of its crispness, but it will otherwise keep just fine for a few days. Don’t cut it until you are ready to eat it; just keep it wrapped tightly in the plastic wrap and bring it out of the fridge at least a half hour before you’re going to eat it if possible to take some of the chill off the rice. Have fun!
I recommend getting a pair of cut-resistant gloves! You can mandolin with much less concern 🤓 the ones I got are dishwasher safe too! EDIT: I meant “mashine washable” like with my clothes lol. Not dishwasher safe haha

The plastic wrap is for added security when cutting also is more sanitizing when you want to share half of one with someone.
