Out of curiosity, though I know this is a performance machine without any limitations to its capacity , wouldn't an air intake without an air filter cause damage to the engine ? As air with dust particles is bound to enter the engine ,, also causing inefficient combustion .
If water got inside the engine through the intake it will cause the engine to hydro lock , anything other than fuel and air in the cylinder can cause Problems
If you don't use air filter dust particle will go inside engine which could also lead to engine seize. Did you take any measure to solve this problem ??

Can you make the radiator fan kick in a bit later? Because if the fan runs from 1500 rpm only then the engine would take longer to reach it's optimum working temperature and that potentially can be a big reliability issue in drag race events. Or make a manual fan switch just like in the racecars.

i was thinking the same thing. the engine will wear out very soon if he runs it without an air filter
