Shout out to anyone listening!! The practically perfect way to make home made rice Krispies is to heat the oil (I use coconut) to medium hi, or #7.5 in a medium size pot, then add only a cup of rice at a time for even cooking. If you can fford more oil you can use a bigger pot like in this video and set the strainer down in the pot. Strain through a metal seive into a metal bowl or other pot. Spread the puffed rice out on a baking sheet on parchment paper and put in a warm oven at medium low about 175°. !!! NOW THE SECRET !!! USE Minute Rice! Minute rice is pre cooked and pre dried, so all you have to do is fry it 😁 Enjoy.

I know this is old, but based on something similar with rice noodles, i imagine it is precooked rice right out the bag (ie minute rice) that is dry and not cooked prior to throwing in.

    • @lightblue8818

The amount of oil doesnt matter, the oil simply has to be enough so that all the rice is covered while they lie on the siv. (You could probably do it without using a siv too but then you would have to gather and fish out the crisps manually)
