I can’t believe how spot on this is. My sister just literally almost died and currently is still recovering in the hospital. She went to the ER for arm pain, they prescribed her a steroid for it and less then ten days later she was fighting for her life because it apparently caused diverticulitis. She was having excruciating stomach pain and her bowel perforated while being in the hospital so she was rushed to emergency surgery and then on life support in the ICU. Unfortunately she had to have a colostomy and is on a very slow and painful recovery. I’m thankful that she survived, but I’m so angry that they prescribed her something so terrible for just some arm pain. She would much rather have dealt with that then now having her life turned upside down and nearly almost dying. Dr.s should be obligated to tell patients that taking this can literally almost kill you. Thank you so much for putting this information out there because people need to know what can happen. I still can’t believe it.

Amazing they give this for UC. Just diagnosed and am taking a round of prednisone. When I taper off I won't take this again.

Thank you so much for this information!!! My daughter was just in the hospital with seizures and other auto immune issues. Because she showed antibodies attacking her thyroid they wanted to do a spinal tap to determine if antibodies were attacking her brain. She’s been auto immune since childhood with a hyper immune system. She has been prescribed steroids for allergic reactions to medications many times! I asked if the spinal tap showed there was antibodies attacking her brain then what would be their method of treatment. They reply was they would prescribe steroids to suppress the immune response. We decided not to do the spinal tap and then she was released. This video came in the day we arrived home and this was/is affirmation we made the right decision! We are declining medication even after much pressure at the hospital and even being treated as if we were being negligent in careas she has had anaphylactic reactions to all medications and we aren’t willing to take any more risks! I was led to your sight by prayer and purchased your book! So much knowledge! I cant wait to be able to get three daughters ( two of whom had reactions to vaccines as babies) to see you one day!!! God will provide for this I believe! Until then.... you are a God send! Thank you!

7:38 - Nutrient Theft from Steroids:
    Spasms and Pain:
If we look at what vitamin D, Calcium, and Magnesium are important for, they are important for muscle regulation. So a lot of people with this nutrient theft component develop muscle spasms. Remember your heart and your blood vessels are muscles.
Remember your G.I. tract is a muscle. So if you are developing an electrolyte imbalance from the effects of long-term steroid use, it can actually caused things like IBS and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Steroid nutrient theft can also create an increase in your blood pressure because CALCIUM & MAGNESIUM regulate your blood pressure.

What about taking 20 mg twice a day for four weeks to help me get back on my feet and into an exercise rhythm of simply using an elliptical trainer and stretching and being able to stand for more than 10 minutes without having to sit down. I am sick and tired of taking opiates 4+ 10/325 vics. Used to be 15mg morphine 3x day.
