Maddening. Some people’s video show the red (+) test cable on the negative cable (black on the neg post), some connect the opposite. Does it matter? Does it just give a negative number?

Best tutorial. Just wondering why my car's voltage went down when engine is hot and has difficulty in starting, but when its cooled down its just one click. It might be the alternator or wirings? Thanks.

I really needed this info I have something killing my battery. If I let the car set more than three days I have to jump it to get it started. Can't think of anything thats on but something is draining my $360.00 battery

When running d parasitic test you did not remove d ignition key.

Yes always remove the key otherwise you’ll get false readings, sorry this wasn’t clear and thanks for pointing that out

Hi my car is reading 14.1v with engine running but when i put everything on lights heaters blowers a/c radio etc voltage drops to around 13 to 13.3v is alternator faulty thanks
