Greetings from Kyiv, Ukraine! I've bought a vintage necklace from a nice Bostonian lady, who told me it was from Jordan Marsh, very meaningfully. So I googled it and the first thing that came up was the famous blueberry muffin recipe. I dug a bit deeper and found lots of comments from people who used to visit Jordan Marsh and taste THE MUFFINS! Such a sweet walk down memory lane with complete strangers from across the world! So here I am, preparing to bake them:) Thanks for your detailed video!
Hi Kateryna! One of the most amazing things to me is how being a "RUclipsr" 😁 has connected me with people all over the world. It's fascinating to me. Jordan Marsh was part of so many people's lives around Boston. I'm sure you'll enjoy the muffins and thank you so much for watching my video and taking the time to comment. If there's anything you can do to spread the word about me to your friends, that would be amazing. Please consider subscribing if you haven't already. Thanks again and stay safe, Dave
@@davestastebuds7245 Thanks for your support, Dave! I'll surely share this video with my friends! We all need quick and delicious recipes nowadays, as there's not much electricity because of shellings. Can't wait to taste the legendary muffins:) Have a nice day!
Jordan Marsh and Jordan’s Furniture were two completely different unrelated companies. The shared name is just a coincidence. Jordan’s Furniture eventually bought Jordan Marsh’s enchanted village (huge annual Christmas display) and muffin recipe after JM was bought by Macys. They even hired JM’s baker to teach them all the bts tricks if I remember correctly. Regardless the muffins are delicious!
Jordan Marsh & Jordan’s furniture were never one entity, I believe they won an auction where the enchanted forest was up for sale after Jordan Marsh went out of business in 1995
Hey JM! You're 💯 right. I'm just glad it came back. My granddaughter loves it, we all go every year. It's about half an hour from where we are in Plymouth. Thanks a lot for watching my video and taking the time to comment. Dave
Last Christmas I picked up the box of the Jordan Marsh muffins and read the ingredients just to see how it compares to all these various clone recipes. I think it either use margarine or shortening instead of butter and one surprising thing it had in it was baking soda which I thought was odd. I believe originally they were typically topped a generous handful of granulated sugar. The ones I purchased last year appeared to be have been topped with what some companies call Shimmer sugar which is same sugar you find on sugar cookies just without the coloration it's very bright white sugar that muffins are commonly topped with when they purchased from bakeries. There was an interview with the guy that made the muffins sevra several years ago can you fill the muffin pans to the top and they use a blend of flour scale down recipes seem to be simplified for household use.ruclips.net/video/U7egGuNoGzI/видео.htmlsi=tia9yYN19Fby5m2V
