A tip I found for anyone still playing is to use the delivery trucks as weapons.
build a road along the bugs path redirect a few trucks switch the roads direction to stop them
then let them go a few at a time through the bugs.
A final "Truck you" to the bugs.

You can add more defense for stragglers with Garrisons.
It will deploy six colonists to roam the built walls. As long as there is a wall, they will go over and shoot.
a real shame that development was stopped on this game... Good graphics, intuitive, fun base building, and gameplay, and a ton of potential. Wish some group of idle developers would just keep developing the game, would love to see this game in its full-fledged form, but it'd a really big project for anybody who might try to carry development. Base building and defense games are hard to make for a small group of developers.

Also, it's the same net worth for both. It's also close to negative 2^31, the most negative possible integer in 32-bit arithmetic. Not exactly, but less than 1% off.

The best way was able to make the defense was a garrison, space, garrison, etc with turrets filling the spaces between garrisons and a double wall facing the enemy. Seems to work well. If you drop a greenhouse and a center facing each other with 2 empty blocks between the extents of their area, you can make a 2 way road in between, and a 2 way linking them. It works quite well.

Not one bug! I am really loving the futuristic dystopian feel this game has going on.
The more drop is actually 850, because you have to call a drone to clean it up.
You don't need power poles in your solar collectors... each solar collector acts as a power pole. Also, you can always move poles. Just pause, bulldoze, place anew, then un-pause... as you could have made the housing road more efficient... after all, if it isn't next to the housing, it doesn't collect taxes.
By the way, it seems to me that you may want to build a barracks on those really thick walls, since the turrets might not be able to hit targets that are close to the wall. I'm not sure, but it could be worth a try.
Turret traverse is painfully slow, too.

Hey raptor, just a crazy thought for building and space efficiency. I havent played, but the area size of greenhouse/center zone affect return? If so, try not to put the building on a straight. Make a U shape so building can be center of block? Will that increase efficiency.

In past episodes, you build in the zones of other structures and I'm pretty sure this effects efficiency.
Also, mining camps and such. You could also build one mining camp for two zones and you save money by not building two camps with the same return most likely.
The question is would you choose more resources over how fast you get them

Should the garrison not require power during windstorms? While being cheaper and less effective seems like a decent trade off to have one or two along the walls just in case the power goes down
Question about this game: does it have a sandbox option or is it just the basic missions? If it's only the missions, it doesn't seem like there's very many missions to be done
I tried it out today after seeing Raptor's videos. It's just hopping across the map right now, but some of the missions are pretty difficult. The game is also buggy since it's only in it's 9th alpha update right now and it's on the notoriously buggy Unity Engine. It has some strong potential though. The dev just needs to stick with it and keep his goals realistic. I personally feel like it could use more RTS elements so it's not just a hybrid colony simulator + tower defense. Some mobile units to help deal with breakthroughs in the walls would be a welcome addition.

Late but, if you slap down a garrison wouldn't it help defend the walls? I noticed the turrets had a hard time hitting the bugs against the wall, maybe troops would help with that?

you can't just rely on the turrets to get the job done for defence you need the grasons up on the walls working in conjunction with the lot to maximize the firepower to get the job done for defence.

It really gets on my nerves when you don't maximize the areas for the community and farms or put down garrisons to increase your firepower but it's still an azing video 😊 also I think the batteries need to be attached to the guns for them to draw power from them
