Ozzy never wrote any of his solo music. Does anyone really think he was down in the basement working out the arrangements for Crazy Train and I Don’t Know? All the guys in the band can be heard in interviews talking about how we wrote all the music particularly on on the first 2 albums when ozzy was in rehab the entire time and then just came out and sang. I’ve read guys in the band say they even wrote most of the lyrics. Ozzy was the luckiest guy on earth when he stumbled into a young naive but ultra talented randy……nobody would have ever heard of him again if not for that stroke of good luck. After the first 2 solo albums guys were lined up to play with ozzy. He became the patron saint of unknown guitar shredders. They then came in and brought all the material into the band. Ozzy picked and chose what he liked and go rich off of their talents. In some ways it worked for everyone but mostly it worked for OZZY Inc.

Not to put down Jake, but I've seen people comment online that Randy Rhoads played the riff to Bark at the Moon during his solo time during Ozzy shows and saying this will be on the next album. I can't confirm this, just raising the question. Even if Randy came up with the riff, Jake did an amazing job playing it, and creating an epic solo.
That's crazy that Jake allowed Ozzy to take sole credit for writing all the songs on the BATM album. Then I found out Ozzy never wrote any of the lyrics in Sabbath, but he's credited on every song. What a sucker I was.
