my cddb has next to no white flower parts inside. its almost all red gel. cddb pulp is thick with what seems like a higher pectin content. its more like cooked down jam than any other fig. not as sweet but the density of the pulp.
Ross, I love your videos and am learning so much. I have a couple of questions: How do we find you on FigBid? What is meant by “Hardy Chicago types”? Thanks! I so appreciate getting information from someone in a climate more like my own. I’m looking forward to next spring/summer and see how things go when I’m armed with a little more information.
Really enjoy all the content. I purchased a few tissue cultures from wellsprings gardens and I was curious to know if you know/think the varieties they sell are true to what they say they are? Thank you so much for your thoughts.
Thanks for the video Ross: I'm preparing hoop tunnels to grow my figs in next summer which will be about 4 feet tall on either a 4 X 8 foot planter or 2 X 8 foot planter and am wondering if condensation is a problem and whether figs need to be acclimatized to sunlight when I remove the 6 mil plastic covers later in the spring, probably June 1. June 1st is a good date. Maybe even the 15th for you. Condensation was not a problem for me as I rolled up the sides quite often in throughout May. They'll be fine with the sunlight once removed.

Wow, that WM looks insane. Too bad about the SWD but it still looks good lol.

See the description. I start selling bare rooted trees in November after my first frost. Cuttings in December.
Hardy Chicago types are just figs that look and taste very similar to Hardy Chicago. It's a very popular fig that's hardy and has 80+ names.
Thank you. I don’t see these descriptions but I’m on an iPad, will check on a laptop. Thank you so much.
Oh, yes, now that I'm on a laptop a whole new world just opened up!
